Michael Phelps Made a 150-Foot Putt Because He Is the Best at Everything [Video]
Michael Phelps made a 150-foot putt. Sorry. That needs repeating. You know how swimming is one of those activities that you consider relaxing in the summer, but Michael Phelps is much better at it than you could ever dream of being? Well, having perfected the art of swimming, Phelps has moved on to another cherished summer pastime – golf. Here he is participating in the Dunhill Links Championship at Kingsbarns in Scotland today. The greens over there are really big, so the opportunity for 50-yard putts exist. Of course, Michael freaking Phelps would make this putt.

I’m not learned on golf beyond what I skim when Spencer posts, but that seems like an unnecessarily large green.

part of the beauty of golf course design…long putts are very hard shots to judge. there might not seem like much trouble from 100+ yards away but id much rather have a pitch than a long putt from the same distance.

also, phelps said he struggles to break 90 during his interview during the ryder cup…he aint good. this was pure luck and/or a great read from his caddy.

That was absolutely insane. Lucky as all hell, but absolutely insane nonetheless.

As a Baltimorean(?), who frequents some of the same watering holes, I can safely say that is 100% correct.
/assuming that was sarcastic

It is sombering to realize that some people just have a horseshoe up their ass, and are blessed by the gods in everything they do.

i dunno man…i wouldnt have wanted phelps’ life up to this point. think of how much of his formative years he surrendered to training and competing. blech. id hate to feel used up in my mid-20′s.
sure he can do whatever he wants now…but does he even know what he wants after a childhood of coaches and being ferried from event to event?
