What’s nice about breweries that do large format bottlings is that if you’re not much of a drinker, one bottle in a sitting is probably more than enough. You’re not left with random other bottles in your fridge for months at a time.

Saranac’s soft drinks are good as well. Also recommended are the birch beers and cream sodas from Kutztown

I don’t drink anymore but I still enjoy looking at the selections in the stores. Saranac always had good seasonal beers. Worth the extra cost.

In upstate NY, it’s not that much extra cost. When I was in school, Saranac was cheaper than Sam Adams, probably on par with a Yeungling.

Now you’re getting me all pumped for my trip to Ithaca next weekend.

North Dakota is the only state without a single brewery. Alabama only has one.

Saranac is good stuff. Plus they put on a summer concert series outside the brewery every summer.

Saranac Black Forest is one of my favorite beers. Sure, it’s probably just nostaglia from college, but hot damn it’s a delicious beer.

ms621, When i went on the tour there, I had never really been much of a beer drinker. The tastings were interesting because I never had those types of beers. Really good stuff though.
