Paul Pierce, Kobe Bryant a host of others frequently draw contact on the offensive end to induce fouls. They then will “sell” the foul a bit by falling back or flailing their arms a bit. Is that a flop by the letter of the rule above? I guess. Is it really that egregious? Often times, they may help bring attention to legitimate fouls. Ticky tack fouls, but fouls nonetheless.
