The system will always provide gigantic numbers to the QB. 3. WVU&#039;s lousy defense allows for Smith to keep throwing and keep piling up numbers.  A better D would actually cost him stats. 4. The Defense Optional Big 12 limits the impressiveness of the numbers going forward.  Remember Landry Jones stats?
