Kevin Garnett: “I Don’t Have Ray Allen’s Number Anymore”

Kevin Garnett is the ultimate teammate, until you are no longer a teammate. KG and Allen were in Boston together for five seasons. Then Ray Allen signed with Miami. Don’t expect any more phone calls from Kevin Garnett.

“I choose not to [communicate with him],” said Garnett. “That’s a choice I personally made. I’m very close to Ray, I know his family, I wish nothing but the best for him and his family, I just made the choice to move on. That’s all.”

KG’s one of those guys that any team would love to have but most fans realize what a punk he can be. Don’t really have a huge problem with this because its the old school “my enemies friend is my enemy” approach. Doesn’t change the fact that if he mixes it up with someone on the Heat, he will most likely go after Norris Cole.

Eh,can’t blame him. Allen decided to be a frontrunner and went to the team that stands in the way of the Celtics getting to the finals. Not that they were, but I see where he is coming from. There doesn’t seem to be any malice. It sounds like they’ll be hanging out after they retire.

Allen decided to be a frontrunner
The Celtics traded him to NBA purgatory in the middle of last season, but the deal fell through and he was a pro about it. He can stay on an old, declining team that will ship him off to some far away NBA outpost the second things go bad (and they will), or he can live in Miami and win more rings.

This guy that works day shift here let me borrow a book his brother had written. It’s about Mongolians and war. Haven’t got that far into but it starts out with a quote from Genghis Khan that I think is the most bad ass shit you could say to a group of people right before you kill them:

What’s that show on history channel or something about warrior vs. warrior? His brother was an expert historian on that, and was featured in the show. I wanted to check out the book. It’s probably going to be a hard read, he was saying his brother needs to learn how to “write with character” instead of just sounding like he’s spewing facts. But with books like these, history/educational, I imagine it’s kind of hard to not sound robotic and generic.

Well unless you want to make the drive to Lower Slower Delaware you won’t be fishing “the ocean.” More like bay. So sharks are probably not going to happen. Not saying it’s not possible, but highly unlikely.

I’ll need to get a license and if you have gear I can use that would be appreciated. Been too long since I’ve been fishing.
Unfortunately, Delaware doesn’t have 1,3, or 5 day licenses like other states. Have to buy the full thing, but it’s probably one of the cheapest in the nation even for a non resident. And I’ve got plenty of stuff you can use.

Well, people have said they hate the fraternization in the NBA, because it makes the League less competitive.
