The old refs weren’t that good either. It’s part of the game. Maybe if they played better they wouldn’t have provided a chance for the seahawks to split QUAD COVERAGE and come down with the ball. Great effort and way to grind one out.

This. Agree also with Weapon X. The officials’ inconsistency all game feeds into the outrage at the final call.

I actually wish there was more outrage. I know it’s the right and responsible thing to handle it the way McCarthy did, but fuck that after tonight. That call plus others should have the Packers blasting the refs and the league for letting it get to this point

I also wrote this within 15 seconds of the game ending and watching some replays, wasn’t on twitter actively watching what others were saying. At the time I said that, by the way, the announcers were not sure what it was.

the only way this would have been reversed is through review. replacement refs three levels up, in the league’s noisiest place, with one of the league darlings in the house, live speed…making that TD call would have been almost as discussed as an INT call.

i don’t see integrity as a factor here
