Robinson Cano PED Rumor Started by Random North Carolina TV Reporter [UPDATE]
Who is Dan Tordjman? A reporter in North Carolina with a lot of explaining to do. Tordjman went on his twitter account this afternoon and tried to break news which he couldn’t confirm, but felt like floating it, anyway: Robinson Cano had tested positive for PEDs.
Can’t confirm this but I’m hearing that Robinson #Cano tested positive for PEDs. Announcement from #MLB coming shortly. #Yankees

How’d a North Carolina TV reporter break this story? That’s unclear. So why is he tweeting this? Well, he heard a rumor.
It’s no secret Cano was boys with Melky Cabrera – the two were inseparable in New York – and the latter got popped for PED use. Nothing from the Yankees or MLB yet. Peter Gammons had this to say:
“I heard something . . . about three weeks ago,” the veteran baseball reporter and analyst said Thursday on ‘Felger & Mazz’ on WBZ-FM (98.5 The Sports Hub). “And, like a lot of things, I’ve . . . never gotten any confirmation … I’m not sold on the Cano thing yet,” Gammons said. “Especially since most of the time, the Scott Boras clients are very careful . . . “
So there’s that.
