Probably? But I like to judge things I see. And considering there are apparently only 10 QBs with the ability to learn/run/master complex NFL offenses, I don’t think the inability to do so disqualifies you from being ‘smart’.

To be fair, lots of smart, successful people comment on sports blogs. In fact, I hope to be one myself one day. I’m just positing that you are not one of them.

Though your lack of grammatical errors confuses me

I’m trying to understand what your issue is. I made a comment regarding Tim Tebow’s intelligence, which by internet sports blog standards (particularly this one), was relatively innocuous. Then, you called me an idiot. But of course, I am the one making ad hominem attacks. Makes a ton of sense.

On the Tebow/golf club example, I think it is a factor of both – he lacks some physical abilities, yes, but he would not be the first QB in NFL history to overcome physical limitations to succeed and even thrive. I believe that he has also shown a lack of capacity to 1) understand an NFL passing offense, and 2) read defenses that has further prevented him from being success, in spite of his physical “shortcomings.”

Guys like Rich Gannon, Jeff Garcia and Kurt Warner weren’t blessed with unbelievable athleticism and prototypical NFL QB tools, but managed to become successful because of their understanding of the game. I think Tebow could be successful in the NFL since he has an impressive toolset. Other things hold him back, in my opinion.
