Cowboys Fan Prone to Wild Mood Swings and Proclaiming Team the Best or Worst
This is YouTube user TheDallasCowboysShow. Following the Cowboys loss to the Seahawks yesterday, he wants the Cowboys to know just how disappointed he is. In fact, he is downright mad. So mad that he even threatens to send Dez Bryant to Cleveland.
That’s when you know someone is serious. This man hasn’t yelled at the camera since 2008! This is a long way from the video he made 10 days ago that was titled, “Cowboys are the best team in the NFL.” Keep in mind that video was released during that time in Week 1 when 30 teams had not even taken the field yet. I feel like he may be prone to hyperbole.

I feel like for every one crazy, nose-taped Arkansas lady, there are 99 NFL fan equivalents, at least, for each and every team.

I didn’t know Dirt was black.
September 17th, 2012 at 11:44 AM
Well more people like the NFL so I’m not sure of the point here…at least at the highest level of the sport trees are spared by the fans
September 17th, 2012 at 11:45 AM
I completely agree with him that the Cowboys are soft.
Dez Bryant is the most overrated WR in the NFL.
September 17th, 2012 at 11:46 AM
I think CFB fans are far worse than NFL fans.
September 17th, 2012 at 11:46 AM
I do not.
September 17th, 2012 at 11:46 AM
I got lectured for mentioning a Seinfeld quote to Hernia about the Cowboys yesterday by a Cowboy fan.
Touchy bunch of frontrunning jerkoffs.
September 17th, 2012 at 11:47 AM
There is not a more annoying subspecies than Cowboys fans.

Dez Bryant is the most overrated WR in the NFL.
This.
September 17th, 2012 at 11:48 AM
I will rephrase by saying it is out of proportion. I feel like 15% of all college football fanbases are batshit. I feel like 35% of all NFL fanbases are batshit.

There is not a more annoying subspecies than Cowboys fans.
Whoa whoa whoa, they’re bad but let’s not forget about Yankees, Red Sox, Heat and Laker fans.
September 17th, 2012 at 11:51 AM
It is close. Interesting list to debate. Across all sports, I would rank them thusly:
1. SEC “Conference” Fans
2. New Jersey-based Yankees Fans
3. Dallas Cowboys Fans
4. Alabama Fans
5. Pink Hat Nation
September 17th, 2012 at 11:52 AM
Saints fans will complain they’re not getting enough respect in this list.

the cowboys team? cool by me. cowboys fans located in the DFW area? liquidation.
September 17th, 2012 at 11:55 AM
The worst thing about these people is that they deny they exist…the Georgia fans who chanted “S-E-C” after beating fellow SEC foe Missouri set a new low for their ilk
September 17th, 2012 at 11:55 AM
That’s a really good point. That is a brutally obnoxious fan base.
September 17th, 2012 at 11:55 AM
TAKE THAT MR. BIG LEAD.
September 17th, 2012 at 11:56 AM
Brooklyn bloggers claim hipsters don’t exist anymore and it’s just a term used for people we’re jealous of.
The lesson? If you’re denying a group exists, you’re probably part of it, and a fucknut.
September 17th, 2012 at 11:57 AM
read: UGA fans who don’t have anything to be proud of like florida, bama and LSU but think they’re in the same class.
September 17th, 2012 at 11:57 AM
Mine:
1a. Alabama “fans” who never attended Alabama.
1b. Alabama fans who did attend Alabama
2. Red Sox/Yankees fans who live outside of the NE who suddenly clutter their facebook with baseball posts in October
3. Soccer fans who think they’re cultured because they talk about soccer on twitter
4. NFL fans of teams from outside their state
5a SEC “Conference” Fans
5b Big 10 Conference fans who try so, so hard not to care about the SEC but compare everything to the SEC
September 17th, 2012 at 11:58 AM
Fixed for accuracy and my feelings.
The absolute worst in the world….
September 17th, 2012 at 11:58 AM
Which is really making a statement. Thought what was almost as embarrassing was when the Bama fans at the Bama-Michigan blood-letting started lustily screaming “SEC-SEC-SEC!” You’re there to watch your team…it’s not a conference all-star game.
September 17th, 2012 at 11:58 AM
non-ohio state big 10 conference fans who do this…ohio state fans care very much about the SEC and wouldnt mind being included in the next round of realignment, if yall would be so inclined.

“Going down the pub for the footie.”
No you’re going to the bar to watch soccer, dickhead.
September 17th, 2012 at 11:59 AM
Sound reasoning.
September 17th, 2012 at 12:02 PM
You know, I might have to bring Soccer fans to a tie with Pink Hat Nation. There’s something to be said for condescension.
Probably worth honorable mention: Steelers fans, J-E-T-S fans (though its more irrelevant pity), Lakers fans, and “national” Notre Dame Is Back fans.
September 17th, 2012 at 12:04 PM
But he remains No. 1 on the North Park Mall least-wanted list.
September 17th, 2012 at 12:04 PM
I differentiate places by calling them a bar or a pub, they are very distinct in my mind.
September 17th, 2012 at 12:04 PM
the cowboys team? cool by me. cowboys fans located in the DFW area? liquidation.
Horrible. We should put them all in campus along Lake Lewisville.

Acceptable only if uttered by a Brit.
September 17th, 2012 at 12:05 PM
Camps….not campus.

Dumb question, technically, what is the difference between a bar and a pub?
I’m enjoying these lists. Got me nodding my head in agreement quite a bit.
September 17th, 2012 at 12:10 PM
the level of pretentiousness the speaker’s got going on.
September 17th, 2012 at 12:10 PM
Dumb question, technically, what is the difference between a bar and a pub?
Amount and quality of food.
September 17th, 2012 at 12:10 PM
When I think of a pub I think of it being really dark and lined with wood, but also very over priced.
September 17th, 2012 at 12:11 PM
when i hear “pub” i think of mushrooms, for some reason.
September 17th, 2012 at 12:11 PM
no worst fans list is complete without snaggled tooth steeler fans.
September 17th, 2012 at 12:12 PM

Mushrooms and prime rib?
September 17th, 2012 at 12:14 PM
THat’s one of those questions where the answer is something you’re aware of when you’re in a pub or a bar, but not something you can define while outside of a pub or a bar.
September 17th, 2012 at 12:16 PM
i think like pub burger or something. really dunno.
September 17th, 2012 at 12:17 PM
Pub has regulars, good food and quality beers on tap generally decorated in Irish or British style. A place where you would go just to sit down drink and talk.
Bar is anything that only has Coors Light/Budweiser beers on tap, blaring top 40 with a bunch of retarded neon signs and is usally full of cretins wearing jerseys. You have no chance of a free pour and it’s culture-less.
Uh yeah.
September 17th, 2012 at 12:17 PM
Like mole said, pubs are typically a little more pricey, but that’s usually because the food is higher quality and there is a greater variety. When I think of bar food I think of nachos, quesadillas, club sandwiches, cheese fries, and hamburgers. When I think of pubs I think of all of those things but also better fare like roast beef, etc.

Shitty fan list HAS to include:
People who SAY they’ve been a fan of the franchise since the 70s, grew up with said franchise during the lean years, STAYED a fan (allegedly) for the next few decades, only to abandon ship and become a fan of that team’s BIGGEST rival in the 80s, and now dogs his old team.

Since the ’60s, dude, not just the ’70s.
And yes, putting up with their sucktitude for four decades entitles me to dog them now.
But I want to be clear — I’m dogging Benson, the front office and the coaching staff, NOT the players. I just feel bad for Brees and his guys.

The 60s? That’s even worse!
And yes, putting up with their sucktitude for four decades entitles me to dog them now.
Know what else entitles you to dog a team? Just having an opinion. Period. Hell, if you’re a fan, you can STILL dog the team. There is no “either-or” on this matter. You can be a fan of a team AND dog the shit out of them at the same time. I said in the NFL post-game handshake post that, “If this defense keeps playing like shit, 8 wins would be a minor miracle. They’re playing like a 5 or 6 win team right now.” THERE. They’ve been dogged. And I still get to root for them to bash the Chiefs next Sunday.
I’m dogging Benson, the front office and the coaching staff, NOT the players.
You seem to take an awful lot of glee in dogging the team while suddenly rooting for the 49ers.
It’s maddening, frankly, that somebody could follow a team, put up with all the shit that comes from it, watch them finally win a Super Bowl, and then abandon them because they get caught up in a scandal.

Pub is less of a general place, it’s specific in style. They will have more unique beers on tap, will know how to pour those beers, and they will have decent food.
Tavern is a place that doesn’t serve booze, only beer and wine.
A bar is a place that is trying to snag any customer, sort of bland, lots of domestic beers on tap.
