Replacement Official Brian Stropolo Was Removed Because His Facebook Page Professed His Devotion to the Saints

According to Chris Mortenson, Brian Stropolo, a replacement side judge assigned to the Saints-Panthers game, has been removed because his Facebook page “unabashedly displays fan passion for the Saints.” His Facebook profile page is up and still active, showing he attended Nicholls State in Louisiana, and littered with photos related to the Saints. These include a photo of him standing with a drink outside the New Orleans Super Dome, in the crowd at a game in New Orleans, and standing near the Mississippi River wearing Saints gear.
