Golden Tate Destroyed Sean Lee With This Block
Golden Tate leveled Sean Lee of the Cowboys with this block, which was actually illegal. Lee went to the sidelines and presumably took a whiff of some smelling salts.

I am on the same page. It looks like you can kill a guy doing that but still…I’d hate the game to change anymore

out with Hines Ward in with Golden Taint

That’s going to cost him a suspension. He had time to change the nature of that block and chose deliberately to go after it that way.

Legal, but cheap. NFL is in some real trouble. Fans want to see violence and the NFL marketed violence for many years. Now, that rooster has come home to crow with NFL concussion lawsuits.

Explain what isn’t legal about it…Blind side? Nope, he hit him in the front, it isn’t Tate’s fault that Lee had tunnel vision on Wilson, but Tate was right in front of him. Led with helmet? Nope, he hit with his shoulder between the numbers and Lee’s Head popped forward causing the helmet to helmet…I don’t see any reason why this was illegal, it was just a brutal hit, but Tate drilled him shoulder in chest.

Looks like a clean hit to me. Every football player dreams of getting a kill shot like that.

Lars929: 2 or 3 years ago that would be legal, now, no way! Forget the “blindsided” or “defenseless” crap…but any blind person can see he freakin led with the crown of his helmet…what are you watching? he loads up and springs leading with his head…he’s an idiot for doing so too…I am just glad he’s not paralyzed for that…Tate’s a marked man, esp after GB game.
