Kid Rock’s Detroit Lions Anthem is Spectacular(ly Awful)
This is Kid Rock’s Pepsi-sponsored Detroit Lions anthem. It’s a couple weeks old, but I just saw it this morning and… well, the economy isn’t the worst thing in Detroit anymore. Detroit! Make some noise! That’s how we do it in the D, baby!

I don’t even have to watch this and I know it’s horrific.

One of the few times I’m glad I can’t watch the videos here.
September 13th, 2012 at 6:37 PM
Just pull it up on your phone. Oh wait, that’s a high level security breach. Oh and you have an old ass flip phone. Nevermind.
September 13th, 2012 at 6:37 PM
On another note:
Fuck UPS.
that is all.
September 13th, 2012 at 6:40 PM
Fuck UPS.
What did brown do for you? Nothing?
/Got jokes about the phone, eh???
September 13th, 2012 at 6:41 PM
I do, but as my wife likes to remind me I’m not funny.
September 13th, 2012 at 6:46 PM
Maybe you are funny and she just doesn’t have a sense of humor.
September 13th, 2012 at 6:48 PM
That’s what I say. She doesn’t agree.
September 13th, 2012 at 6:52 PM
She doesn’t agree.
So she has no sense of humor AND she’s irrational?
September 13th, 2012 at 6:54 PM
So what’d UPS do to you? Package say fragile on top and they gave it the ol’ newspaper toss out of the window as they drove by?
September 13th, 2012 at 6:54 PM
Nail meet the head. Head, the nail just hit you dead on.

I bought a new driver online, and it showed up broken. Looked like the box was bent in half and it snapped the shaft. Fortunately, Ebay protects buyers and it was the seller’s responsibility to file a claim. UPS was supposed to pick it up yesterday, but they would only pick it up from the address it was delivered to initially, wouldn’t even let me drop it off. I had the day off for some other stuff, but I had to step out for about an hour and of course that’s when they came to try and pick it up. I called and complained and asked if they could call me today when they were coming to pick it up, no can do they tell me. So my wife worked from home until 3, I came home early so she could get to her appointments, and they never showed up. When I called, they said they tried to pick it up at 3:30 and I flipped out because I was home, sitting in the front yard from 3 until 7.
September 13th, 2012 at 7:02 PM
well, 3 until 6:15 when I called I guess. They ended up sending another driver out who just got here like 10 minutes ago.
September 13th, 2012 at 7:02 PM

I picture you sitting in a lawn chair, beer in one hand broken club in the other. Mumbling incoherently under your breath to yourself.
September 13th, 2012 at 7:02 PM
so in short. Fuck UPS.
September 13th, 2012 at 7:03 PM
More or less, but had to have the club in the original packaging so I had a big box on the grass next to me.

Same here. But it is like a sore tooth you always are messing with it.
And, sir, you are correct. It is horrific. I made it 1:12 mostly because I was typing this.
And Stafford and Jason Isbell have to be related. They look the same in the face.

Also meth, one of my brothers is a UPS driver, so I know they have all of their trucks GPS’d to make sure drivers stay on route. I pointed that out to the supervisor I spoke to when he told me the driver logged a stop at my house at 3:30. He backtracked real quick at that point and said that the driver actually forgot his scanner today and wasn’t able to log stops like normal.

Right hand turns only!
September 13th, 2012 at 7:11 PM
Less chance of an accident that way. Same thing I do on test drives with customers. Customers want to make a left turn it has to be at a light with a turn arrow.

Priceless. Should’ve went all Shining on him and just started making inaudible angry noises as you stumble down the halls smashing poor inanimate objects.
/Sir, we’ll be out there right away
I’ve had a good experience with UPS. Want to hear it?
September 13th, 2012 at 7:12 PM
I’m in, what do you got? After that I’ll tell you a funny FedEx story.
September 13th, 2012 at 7:13 PM
You get your hookers shipped via ups?
September 13th, 2012 at 7:15 PM
No DHL.
September 13th, 2012 at 7:16 PM
I live in an area where if you’re expecting something to get delivered, you want to make damn sure you’re home when it gets delivered. Otherwise somebody is going to make sure it gets RE-delivered to their house. 5 finger discounting motherfuckers. But anyways, I wasn’t home, and I saw a delivery notice on the door and didn’t see my package (no Coop’d). Checked out back, nothing. So I called to figure out what was going on, and they said it was left. My shed is one of those cheap pre-made plastic ones, and the locking mechanism broke off so I can’t lock it. Come to find out he had put it in the shed for me to keep it away from sticky fingers.
September 13th, 2012 at 7:19 PM
Keep it out of sight of sticky fingers I guess is what I meant.
September 13th, 2012 at 7:23 PM
I know UPS drivers are trained to try and hide the package if no one’s home. Unfortunately, they’re also trained not to wait unless a signature is required so the majority of the time it’s dropped on the porch and they’re out before you can even answer the door. Nice of that driver to hide it well for you.
A few years ago around Christmas my brother had a lady follow him from house to house and picked up the packages after he left. He saw her after the 6th or 7th house and called the cops to report it. they had him go about his business and they caught her a few houses later. She had over 20 packages in her car.

She had over 20 packages in her car.
Merry Christmas, BITCHES!!!!
September 13th, 2012 at 7:27 PM
So my FedEx story. I owed my brother money from something or other, and since I have a deal with FedEx through work, I shipped him a check and a photocopy of me giving him the bird via FedEx.
When he got it the next day, he texted me and said “I don’t rent cars from Hertz, but I’ll start if you ever ship me anything FedEx again.”
To make it even better, he was so pissed I used FedEx he never opened the package. I was visiting him a couple months later and saw the unopened FedEx package in a pile of mail and asked him why he never opened it. He got all pissed about me using FedEx again until I opened it and out dropped the several hundred dollar check and the copy of my middle finger.
September 13th, 2012 at 7:29 PM
I know UPS drivers are trained to try and hide the package if no one’s home.
I’d heard they do that but I wouldn’t think they’d go to the extent of opening up a garage door/shed if it’s unlocked. It’s one of those situations where it’s like, “Oh, thanks UPS guy for looking out for me WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU DOING IN MY SHED?!“
September 13th, 2012 at 7:30 PM
I think most will leave it out of sight on the porch, but if they really hide it (like in your shed or on the back porch) that’s when they leave a delivery notice.
September 13th, 2012 at 7:31 PM
I shipped him a check and a photocopy of me giving him the bird via FedEx.
Awesome. Was there a particular reason for the bird or just because? I got my brother a birthday cake that said, “Happy Birthday, Asswipe!” I thought he’d find it funny. He most certainly did not.
September 13th, 2012 at 7:33 PM
No reason. We’re only 14 months apart and shared a bedroom for the first 16 years of my life. We’re pretty close as it is, and he really enjoyed the bird. He still has it on his fridge and it’s been at least 4 years and 2 moves since that went down.
September 13th, 2012 at 7:35 PM
He still has it on his fridge
I’ll go out on a limb and say that couple hundred dollar check isn’t still lying around, though.
September 13th, 2012 at 7:35 PM
ha. definitely not.
September 13th, 2012 at 7:43 PM
Meth here’s a joke to get you through the early parts of your shift:
A man is in his front yard attempting to fly a kite with his son. Every time the kite gets up into the air, it comes crashing down. This goes on for a while when his wife sticks her head out of the front door and yells, “You need more tail.”
The father turns to his son and says, “Son, I’ll never understand your mother. I told her yesterday I needed more tail and she told me to go fly a kite”
September 13th, 2012 at 7:47 PM
“Son, I’ll never understand your mother. I told her yesterday I needed more tail and she told me to go fly a kite”
I lolled.
early parts of your shift
Bout halfway through. Something about yesterday and today, or any day for that matter, that seems to drag on and fucking on.
September 13th, 2012 at 7:49 PM
Fucking sad. Things I look forward to in my work day are as follows, and not in any particular order, except for payday. Payday? ALWAYS number 1.
1. Payday
2. Coming here
3. Clocking out
September 13th, 2012 at 7:58 PM
that’s a solid list of things to look forward to during work. I don’t get on here much during the day while I’m at work.
September 13th, 2012 at 8:18 PM
I don’t get on here much during the day while I’m at work.
I don’t when I’m busy. But I’m not busy often. Least not busy doing work. Fox News, CNN, here, local news sites and any other place they choose not to block beware.
September 13th, 2012 at 8:33 PM
My turn.
UPS
Ordered a poker table top. Got home saw the note but no huge package (TWSS)(Live in a shit ‘hood, too). Was pissed, was going to start calling to bitch and moan. Took a piss, unloaded my pockets. Went out back to let the dogs in. Went back upstairs, called UPS, was going to bitch them out, but got stuck on hold hell so I figured I’d wait until work the next day to waste time on that (American workers!). Went to my garage to get something for the night out and found the a huge box in the garage! He had went all the way back to the garage, dealt with my three dogs with the hopes the door would be unlocked, and left the table top in there. Fucking amazing. I wanted to tip him so bad, he is the best driver, ever. Really, I called the next day and told everyone that I spoke to how badass this guy was. Amazing.
