Bill Curry Lip-Synced “Sunglasses at Night” for Georgia State Promo
All, College Football September 13th. 2012, 4:00pm
Georgia State is playing Texas-San Antonio in a night game at the Georgia Dome. Their promotion involves lighted sunglasses and coach Bill Curry (formerly: Georgia Tech, Alabama and Kentucky) lip-syncing to Corey Hart’s “Sunglasses at Night.” Plus-one for referencing an excellent 80s song. Minus-one for culling the “don’t flip the blade on a guy in shades” line.

Good for the old guy. Gotta spice things up somehow.
Curry has one of the smoothest voices out there. His Vince Lombardi/Packers stories are captivating.

Let he who has never sung or lip-synced “Sunglasses at Night” cast the first stone.

Are the top two levels going to be cordoned off?

Why are we laughing at the Rays?

WOW!!!!!!!!!!
Never thought I’d see Georgia State be featured on this site. I’m a proud alum. We might suck in athletics, but our business school is top notch.
Go panthers!!!!

My thought exactly.

I think the capacity is set at 30,000. The football program just started a couple years back. Georgia Tech has trouble drawing people to their game, I’m sure GSU faces the same problem.
Haven’t been to the campus since 2010, when I graduated. Sparks Hall, Kell Hall, Aderhold. Man, really miss that place.

I was thinking GA State was an HBC but now I’m second guessing that. What school am I thinking of?

Morehouse?

Morehouse, Clark Atlanta, Spelman, and Morris Brown. Those are the 4 HBCU’s in Atlanta. Pretty much located in the same neighborhood.
Georgia State is very diverse too, actually. Probably the most diverse out of 3 big universities in the state. It’s smack dab in middle of downtown, so it doesn’t have a traditional college atmosphere. The campus is spread apart over 5-8 city blocks. People just drive in to campus and leave at the end of the day. Just as I was about to graduate, the created a frat/sorority housing row.

Glad I wasn’t the only one. They really need to drop that ‘State’ somehow, it’s pretty fucking deceiving.

It seems that southern state-state schools with state in them are HBCU. So thinking Georgia State is one isn’t that off.
South Carolina State, Delaware State, West Virginia State, Kentucky State, Alabama State, Tennessee State, Virginia State

Wikipedia’d that bitch, now I’m in Wikipedia land.
Did you know…
Delaware State was founded as The State College for Colored Students. I’ll be damned.

Yea. I brought that up the other day. White people get a minority discount there. When the insulation company I worked for a while back was working in the boiler room there, my boss asked us on our lunch break if we wanted to play a game called “Where’s whitey?”
