Brandon Weeden Threw Four Interceptions in His First Game. At Least He’s Young.
Ahhh, the Cleveland Browns. The defense played their hearts out. This was probably the type of game you could even win with a Colt McCoy at quarterback.
The Browns intercepted Michael Vick four times, but he was able to move the team down the field late to score a touchdown with just over a minute remaining.
Brandon Weeden, though, went 12 of 35 for 118 yards, no touchdowns and four interceptions, the last one bringing this game to a merciful end. Tim Tebow thought that completion percentage stunk, and Jake Delhomme thought Weeden was a little careless with the ball. The good news is that he’s just a rookie–a rookie that turns 29 in a month.

Barkley
September 9th, 2012 at 5:09 PM
is better than Matt Stafford.
September 9th, 2012 at 5:10 PM
Greg Little cost them 7 with that drop. Marecic could have essentially ended the 1st half but he dropped that pass. Fort dropped that INT. FUCKING CATCH THE BALL ASSHOLES.
/at least Romeo Crennel doesn’t coach our team
September 9th, 2012 at 5:16 PM
Kurt Coleman went to both my high school and college and I root for him every other game he plays. Fuck you, Kurt.
September 9th, 2012 at 5:16 PM
Didn’t Vick throw 4 INTs too? Wonder what his excuse is? Valtrex prescription ran out?
September 9th, 2012 at 5:17 PM
somehow, shockingly, John Skelton is resembling an actual NFL QB early in this game.
September 9th, 2012 at 5:19 PM
Randy Moss, baller
September 9th, 2012 at 5:20 PM
Should have been at least 5. Undrafted rookie LB dropped a Vick gift the play before the game winning TD. #woof
September 9th, 2012 at 5:21 PM
Matt Stafford is a hillbilly. And Pettyballdropper sucks dick too.
/What an embarrassment
September 9th, 2012 at 5:24 PM
I will take the following college QBs over Ryan Fitzpatrick right now:
Matt Barkley
Matt Barkley’s backup
Tyler Wilson
AJ McCarron
That new kid from Oregon
That white kid from LSU
That tall freshman from UCLA
Aaron Murray
Most other quarterbacks
September 9th, 2012 at 5:25 PM
Also: Mickey Tettleton’s kid from Ohio University
September 9th, 2012 at 5:28 PM
Nice contract. Enjoy Toronto.
September 9th, 2012 at 5:30 PM
was hoping he would do something to get buck to say “that was a disgusting act!” again
September 9th, 2012 at 5:31 PM
Most other quarterbacks
Guess you could’ve just put that line on that list. You named just about everyone.
September 9th, 2012 at 5:36 PM
Delaware State University vs. University of Delaware made #5 or 6 on Sportscenter Top 10. I saw it and was thinking, “Hold up! What the fuck is THIS!? Sound the alarm!”
September 9th, 2012 at 5:40 PM
Del State is a historically black college. I’d get a minority discount for going there. Funny story about that place. Was doing some insulation work in one of their boiler rooms, and when we first got there my boss asked us if we wanted to play a game. We asked what it was called and he said, “Find Whitey.”
September 9th, 2012 at 5:44 PM
I remember watching that game and being disgusted with Joe Buck’s reaction.
September 9th, 2012 at 5:48 PM
Have the refs just decided false starts don’t exist anymore in this Packers/49ers game?

Wish I could tell you.

meth – do you have streaming links for the games?
or are you the guy who answers coffee questions for work so you can’t watch right now?
September 9th, 2012 at 5:59 PM
or are you the guy who answers coffee questions
Unfortunately, yes. I answer the coffee questions.
September 9th, 2012 at 6:00 PM
Couple people have tried sending me some streaming links, but only one wasn’t blocked. I would’ve had to download something, and I don’t know if it would’ve let me anyways but I was going to try it. Figured screw it. People are usually pretty good with posting updates on here, or I can check ESPN.
September 9th, 2012 at 6:01 PM
but I wasn’t going to try it*
September 9th, 2012 at 6:01 PM
Akers from 63…and it’s goooooood!
September 9th, 2012 at 6:04 PM
Akers from 63
Isn’t that almost the record?
September 9th, 2012 at 6:05 PM
Tied the record. Three other guys did it over the years.
September 9th, 2012 at 6:06 PM
This is the place for links: http://www.thefirstrow.eu/sport/american-football.html
Most of the other sites just link back to these feeds
September 9th, 2012 at 6:08 PM
Three other guys did it over the years.
Tell you what I’d have to know damn sure my kicker had a boot on him, otherwise I’d like my chances of going for it more than I would a 63 yarder.
September 9th, 2012 at 6:08 PM
bummer you can’t answer coffee questions from home.
i give akers the record since he didn’t do it at altitude and had a whole foot.
September 9th, 2012 at 6:11 PM
bummer you can’t answer coffee questions from home.
I can only think how miserable I’d be if I had to combin this place with the solace of home. I actually saw two jobs in the paper that were in line with some of my previous experience. With the way gas is right now though they’re just too damn far to drive.
September 9th, 2012 at 6:12 PM
nice post, lisk. please follow up with the appropriate seahawks bringdown
September 9th, 2012 at 6:15 PM
It was the last play before halftime.
September 9th, 2012 at 6:16 PM
It was the last play before halftime.
Makes sense then. Were I not here in paradise I would’ve seen the circumstances.
September 9th, 2012 at 6:18 PM
Everyone is counting the Cardinals out, but they have a strong defense and IF Skelton can continue to resemble an NFL QB, they’ll be better than everyone expects.
September 9th, 2012 at 6:28 PM
Hey Smallie I talked to my brother about next month. He’s only got 1-2 shows they’re doing the beginning of October, then they only have sporadic shit to do for a while. So probably looking at anytime from the middle of the month on.
September 9th, 2012 at 6:31 PM
The dumbass behind the counter at the F&W place didn’t know exactly when they’re stocking that creek. Book says Mid-October, but I checked the park website and they said you have to have the stamp starting first Saturday in October. Figured middle of the month on would be a safer bet just to be sure.
September 9th, 2012 at 6:38 PM
touchdown niners
23-7
September 9th, 2012 at 6:39 PM
And there goes Skelton being the crappy QB I’ve known. Throwing an INT when you’re trying to throw the ball away out of bounds is like throwing a strike when you’re trying to intentionally walk someone.
September 9th, 2012 at 6:44 PM
He looked pretty good in the 1st half, though the Seahawks weren’t getting any pressure at all on him.
September 9th, 2012 at 6:55 PM
He didn’t look terrible in the 1st half. He looks pretty bad in the 2nd half.
September 9th, 2012 at 7:13 PM
i give akers the record since he didn’t do it at altitude and had a whole foot.
sports science debunked that whole “the clubbed foot gave him a major advantage” junk.
September 9th, 2012 at 7:21 PM
And now Skelton gets hurt. I’ve been in the Kolb camp all along so it’ll be interesting to see how he does here.
September 9th, 2012 at 7:22 PM
wow, the Packers have lost to San Fran in Green Bay. damn.
September 9th, 2012 at 7:23 PM
Right now it looks like you won’t be seeing him again for a while.
September 9th, 2012 at 7:24 PM
Come again?
September 9th, 2012 at 7:25 PM
Looks that way. He had that look on his face that he knew the injury was serious.
September 9th, 2012 at 7:25 PM
What a great weekend of football, Gore trucked the entire Packer fan base.
Did Kolb just complete a pass?
September 9th, 2012 at 7:27 PM
2 of them.
September 9th, 2012 at 7:29 PM
•_•) Looks like this Skeleton..
( •_•)>⌐■-■
(⌐■_■) has lost his ankle.
YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
September 9th, 2012 at 7:32 PM
Looked alright that whole drive.
September 9th, 2012 at 7:32 PM
Looked alright that whole drive.
September 9th, 2012 at 7:37 PM
Yeah and he didn’t even panic with guys in his face like normal.
September 9th, 2012 at 7:48 PM
Doug Baldwin with a bad drop
September 9th, 2012 at 7:48 PM
OK, on the replay it was a tougher catch than I thought, but he had both hands on it.
September 9th, 2012 at 7:50 PM
Thought the same thing – wasn’t as bad a drop as I first thought. Still, I think he should have come up with that one.
September 9th, 2012 at 7:51 PM
Incomplete, Niners win! Not mad that i lost that pick in the pick em league. Thankfully houston won so survival pool is still a go.

September 9th, 2012 at 7:53 PM
Is it me or are the NFL games today taking longer than most college games?
September 9th, 2012 at 7:54 PM
Too many penalties..and way too much review…now every scoring play AND every turnover is reviewed. Unnecessary delays
September 9th, 2012 at 7:56 PM
This Seattle-Arizona game has taken a long time for sure. There’s been a few long delays, mostly due to confusion over penalties, time outs, etc.
September 9th, 2012 at 7:57 PM
The officiating in the Niners-Packers game was horrendous
September 9th, 2012 at 7:57 PM
Why doesnt seattle bootleg?
September 9th, 2012 at 7:59 PM
It was pretty bad in the AZ/SEA game too. The whole debacle over timeouts was ridiculous.
September 9th, 2012 at 7:59 PM
the afternoon games are starting at 4:25 eastern now. but they are stretching into college territory
fox went to the cardinals game at the worst possible time
officials looking really bad handling the seattle timeout situation.
September 9th, 2012 at 8:01 PM
does no one else think TBL looks exactly like russell wilson? cannot believe it’s just me thinking, “whoa, why is TBL in a seahawks press conference”?
also, GO NINERS!!!! HAHAHAHHAHAHA
September 9th, 2012 at 8:01 PM
Not all games are starting at 4:25, just the ones on the national doubleheaders.
Terrible playcalling by Pete and his boys on those last set of downs. No bootleg? No QB sneak? Yes, lets just throw it up 4 times…
September 9th, 2012 at 8:06 PM
does no one else think TBL looks exactly like russell wilson? cannot believe it’s just me thinking, “whoa, why is TBL in a seahawks press conference”?
I don’t know what TBL looks like, so cannot offer comparison.

This SEAL detailing the Bin Laden raid on 60 Minutes is irritating the shit out of me.
September 9th, 2012 at 8:08 PM
Speaking of doubleheader, A.P. that’s one bright side. I get to see the Monday night double header tomorrow. Not that I really care about any teams involved, but I gotta take what I can get with this schedule.
September 9th, 2012 at 8:10 PM
I thought I saw a pic of Jason before, on this site. To me, Jason and Wilson do resemble one another.
Maybe I was high on NyQuil, though.

This SEAL detailing the Bin Laden raid on 60 Minutes is irritating the shit out of me.
How so?
September 9th, 2012 at 8:13 PM
The whole idea that he’s putting his face out there to sell a book bothers me. Seems like a bit of a douche, too.
September 9th, 2012 at 8:14 PM
Could have done better for sure, and tried something a little different. What a mess of an ending though.
September 9th, 2012 at 8:15 PM
Maybe I was high on NyQuil, though.
Haha. It’s crazy, first time I ever took Nyquil was maybe 2 years ago. Couldn’t sleep because I had a real bad sore throat. Friend said to try it, so I went and got some. All I remember is taking it at night and then next thing I knew it was 11 oclock in the morning.
September 9th, 2012 at 8:18 PM
Seems like a bit of a douche, too.
Not that my Dad even remotely compares to SEALS, but I hate how even when he’s talking to family he says “one October.” No Dad, it’s either the first of October or October 1st. Don’t tell Grandma we’re going to meet her at 0900 for breakfast. She does not know what 0900 is.
September 9th, 2012 at 8:26 PM
Russell Wilson needs a booster chair to reach the podium?
//EIC is a tiny little thing.
September 9th, 2012 at 10:31 PM
LOL. I had no clue, but I just KNEW this was the case. He very much carries himself like a tiny person.
