I can’t wait. The Texans are in a prime position to make a deep run in the playoffs. I think the line will be ok. Winston really fell off last year and gave up too many sacks. Let’s just hope everybody stays healthy!

Oh I don’t think they’ll be playoff contenders or anything, just basic improvements, which will contribute to an overall tougher schedule for the Texans, because all of their 6 div games will be against better competition than last year.

Indy will be better given Luck is the QB and not the Painter/Collins disaster. Unsure about Jax though.

True, but only because it’s difficult not to improve on a 2 win season. They will not be a factor this season though. Maybe in another year or two they will.

Going to the Super Bowl. The defense was better when Mario was gone. Assuming healthy Schaub & Andre, this team can beat any other team in the AFC.

Mario was gone after week 5 last year, and that’s about the time the defense really took off. Ryans was a non-factor in this scheme, not seeing the field all that much, which is why they traded him. Assuming health, this team is built for a deep playoff drive.

I think there will be some attrition from losing the O lineman you mentioned, plus Mario and D. Ryans. Add in the fragility of Schaub and Andre Johnson, a 9-7 season seems plausible, especially if the rest of the division improves from being awful last year to just below average this year.
