Blake Bortles, the sophomore QB for the UCF Central Knights, tossed three touchdowns in a season-opening win over Akron. Bortles, a confident player, has enough size (6-foot-4, 220) that in a few years, perhaps he could play himself into getting an NFL tryout or two. According to recruiting websites, Arkansas, Clemson and Florida State showed some interest in him coming out of high school.

This weekend, Bortles will play the biggest game of his young career – at Ohio State, where the Knights are nearly three touchdown underdogs. The game will be on ESPN2, and you’ll want to keep an eye out for his girlfriend, Lindsay Duke. If Busted Coverage can find her, you know the cameras will.
