Texas A&M Fan Trolls Florida With Gainesville Billboard [UPDATE]
Aggie trolling is not confined to Texas, apparently. Someone with Texas A&M ties put up this billboard in Gainesville, informing Florida fans they have been “annexed by Aggie Nation,” that Texas A&M has “The Best Academics and Cleanest Program in the SEC” and that they were now encountering “real football” and “real tradition.”
Not sure what is sillier: a Texas A&M flaunting the school’s football resume in front of Florida, a charter member of the Southwest Conference espousing its cleanliness or leaving this billboard up before the teams play. Unless this was a fiendish ploy by the Longhorn Network, in which case, well played.
Whoop?

[Update: The Aggie Nation billboard has been removed because "Whoop!" is trademarked.]

Jackie Sherrill coached at Texas A&M.

not shocking, aggie is the billboard troll king of the country.
September 4th, 2012 at 11:27 AM
Vandy. Gators looked pretty on Saturday. But they should still roll the Faggies.
September 4th, 2012 at 11:28 AM
*pretty bad
September 4th, 2012 at 11:29 AM
That’s like Luxembourg annexing Germany.
September 4th, 2012 at 11:30 AM
vladdy we have to get our ff lineups set before tomorow right?
September 4th, 2012 at 11:30 AM
Rough tough real stuff.
September 4th, 2012 at 11:31 AM
Only if you have Cowboys and Giants on your team.
September 4th, 2012 at 11:32 AM
aTm even sucks at talking shit. they are decent at one thing I guess, because they have only been in the league a couple months and are quickly making their way up the ranks of most despised/douchiest fan-base.
September 4th, 2012 at 11:36 AM
SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!
JOE HADEN SUSPENDED 4 GAMES CONFIRMED.
September 4th, 2012 at 11:37 AM
Only if you have Cowboys and Giants on your team.
including bench?
September 4th, 2012 at 11:38 AM
jesus christ…i guess one failed test counts as two?
September 4th, 2012 at 11:40 AM
There goes their Super Bowl chances…
September 4th, 2012 at 11:41 AM
This the ADD guy?
Read your town charter, it’s not two “tests” in that he walks in and takes two different piss tests, it’s two tests of the sample sample that caused the first positive.
September 4th, 2012 at 11:42 AM
*same sample
Same Sample > Sample Sample > Junior Samples
September 4th, 2012 at 11:44 AM
i laughed.
i understand that…i think that makes absolutely shit sense. he failed once, two samples came from one pee…he didn’t violate it two times.
September 4th, 2012 at 11:44 AM
Texas A&M fans are the ‘Cousin Eddie’s’ of the SEC. They’re fired up as hell to come visit and the rest of the family is already looking around in a panic trying to figure out how to make them leave before they break or steal something.
September 4th, 2012 at 11:45 AM
Jackie Sherrill coached at Texas A&M.
Dirtiest motherfucker in the SWC.
September 4th, 2012 at 11:45 AM
who cares if it’s not true (Vandy) or if it’s extremely poor quality shit-talking? it’s aimed at UF, which earns my full approval.
/roll tide
September 4th, 2012 at 11:46 AM
Well it’s just the way to do it to ensure that it wasn’t an improper test procedure that got an inaccurate reading from the sample.
You’re not suggesting that the NFLPA agreed to a policy that gives them zero room for explanation do you????? That would imply it’s a horribly run union.
September 4th, 2012 at 11:48 AM
Jason – two requests for you today:
1. Ryder Cup post and a mention of how awesome the Fed Ex playoffs are right now.
2. A post regarding the rash of NCAA investigations surrounding top recruits (Bazz, Noel, Purvis, etc.) that UNC/Roy stopped recruiting. I know that doesn’t fit well with your current UNC narrative, but it can’t be mere coincidence that UNC just decided to stop recruiting guys who would later have their college careers in jeopardy. Plus, these are top flight talents in a sport you love, yet not a peep?
September 4th, 2012 at 11:48 AM
that’s precisely what im implying!!!
September 4th, 2012 at 11:48 AM
fedex cup > PGA championship
September 4th, 2012 at 11:49 AM
Also JamesOn Curry, remember him?
Roy is smart enough to walk away from players who are a walking recruiting violation. As is K. Neither is clean. They’re just better at getting the universities to fudge the standards than most coaches are.
September 4th, 2012 at 11:50 AM
If only Tiger could sink some of those putts…
September 4th, 2012 at 11:51 AM
yea…and didnt come up pitifully short on two approaches with short irons/wedges down the stretch. still, he made a pretty solid run.
also, kudos to rory. nice win there.
September 4th, 2012 at 11:51 AM
1. Ryder Cup post and a mention of how awesome the Fed Ex playoffs are right now.
i love em, but could do without the non-stop projections during before and after every televised shot.
September 4th, 2012 at 11:52 AM
aimed at UF, which earns my full approval.
/roll tide
based on saturday’s performances, i’d say gators are beneath your contempt this year
September 4th, 2012 at 11:53 AM
If only Tiger could sink some of those putts
The roar as his eagle on 18 was rolling was incredibly loud. I was fully prepared to leave my seat and scream if he nailed it, no pun intended. He missed that one bad.
September 4th, 2012 at 11:53 AM
Woah woah woah, I’m to understand that Florida is only favoured by 2? This is A&M first game?
Is there something I’m missing here?
September 4th, 2012 at 11:55 AM
Have to wonder if the bettors are overrating the Kyle Field factor? Curious to see how Manziel and the Sumlin/Kingsbury offense look.
September 4th, 2012 at 11:56 AM
tiger seems like he’s loosening up on the course like we’ve never seen him before. it’s almost like he’s enjoying himself out there. the old tiger is gone, but this newer, looser version still has the ability to win a few more majors and several handfuls of tournaments before his career is over.
September 4th, 2012 at 11:57 AM
New AP Top 25.
September 4th, 2012 at 11:59 AM
Yes, Florida’s QB is awful. Like awful, awful.
September 4th, 2012 at 11:59 AM
@PeerLess
How awesome is (Stupid Fucking Name) Patterson?
Bunch of Freshman/1st Year Starters/Red Shirts making waves last weekend between Patterson, Gurlie, Yeldon, Mariota, Duke Johnson.
September 4th, 2012 at 11:59 AM
this newer version of tiger’s driver is looking a whole lot better and the distance control is improving…next year could be the year we’ve all been waiting for since 2010.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:00 PM
beneath your contempt
that’s not possible when it comes to UF, AUB, LSU, and TEN.
/ARK isn’t worth my time.
*patiently awaits arkbadger*
September 4th, 2012 at 12:00 PM
New AP Top 25.
TN looked really, really good. Defensively surprised me. Maggit is going to be a pro one day. I agree with voters though. Gotta prove they can win consistently before getting in 25. I say if they beat Florida they deserve it.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:01 PM
im seeing preseason still…
September 4th, 2012 at 12:02 PM
next year could be the year we’ve all been waiting for since 2010.
i was going to say that but then realize i’ve exhausted my supply of that prediction.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:02 PM
i took out a line of credit to buy more of that prediction.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:02 PM
Tiger hit one off the tee yesterday that I swear he broke his driver. Anyone else swings that hard and that ball isn’t going where you want it.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:02 PM
ill – you basically hit the nail on the head. i think he is more in tune with his game than he has been for the last 4 years. He knows the swing change will take time, he knows he has distance control issues, and yes, he seems to be enjoying himself in light of those two problems. Aside from not winning a major, this year is a big-time victory for him. He is healthy, his mind seems right, and he has exactly 7 months to get ready for Augusta. That doesn’t generate page views like a “ZOMG Tiger lost to Rory!?!?!” post does, but people who follow golf see how close he is to putting the golf world on notice again.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:03 PM
Stanford still in there? They looked terrible and almost lost to San Jose.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:03 PM
How awesome is (Stupid Fucking Name) Patterson?
When it comes to sports boners, watching him play was about as good as it gets. We haven’t had that kind of game from someone in a long, long time. I had to keep pinching myself. Fun football, deep plays, and just cockiness that hasn’t been there. Dat dude can play. The announcers kept saying Cor-Darrel. I think that’s wrong. Can’t watch the vid here its blocked.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:03 PM
these meds make me type like a cab driver, apparently.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:03 PM
he’s not shaping the ball like he used to…much straighter, def favoring a fade. that kinda hurts him at augusta otherwise id be inclined to agree. i think his game is much more suited for one of the opens or pga.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:04 PM
Is there something I’m missing here?
i dont know, florida’s offense looks pathetic again.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:05 PM
Alabama -40.0 over Western Kentucky looks pretty tasty.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:07 PM
def favoring a fade.
right now he is, but you can tell he’s not satisfied with only having the fade. tiger knows tiger isn’t a one trick pony. i expect that draw to come back next year.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:07 PM
Spencer – I was speaking in generalities, as golf doesn’t really “get going” until Augusta (for most people), but yeah he is going to have his work cut out for him at places like that. I think he slowly adds that part of his game back to it from his new foundation/swing. He won’t be the 2000 TW, but he will definitely be able to hold his own. Plus, he will have to flirt with the edges of the fairways more often to get the angle he needs, so distance control will be an even bigger factor.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:07 PM
The attention paid to Charley Hoffman is the exact reason I worry about my “interleague record determins WS home-field in MLB” idea.”
I’m not sure I want constant Royals-Pirates updates as the deciding game for home-field.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:07 PM
The book I use has A/M favored by 2.5.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:08 PM
Alabama -40.0 over Western Kentucky looks pretty tasty.
big lines like that scare me. which is why i loaded up on hawaii.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:08 PM
considering the track record the past couple years, I sady almost agree.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:09 PM
Not shitting the bed all Saturday helps. But Tiger can compete when he’s not 100%. When will we (if we do) see Tiger just have a tourney where he makes all his putts under 12 ft, doesn’t miss a wedge, etc.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:10 PM
It’s the reverse touchdown. Kicking Da Rick off the team seems an easier decision now knowing that Patterson is your number 2.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:10 PM
that devin smith catch was silly, btw.
/just saw it again
September 4th, 2012 at 12:11 PM
there were several like that over the weekend that did decent. Hawai’i, N. Texas 096′s, and UTEP come to mind.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:12 PM
Wow, I think A&M will get crushed, missing that first game is huge.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:13 PM
there were several like that over the weekend that did decent. Hawai’i, N. Texas 096′s, and UTEP come to mind.
anything over 30 leaves the back door cover open.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:14 PM
a lot more often than you did this year. The most interesting thing I heard after tiger made his birdie at 18 yesterday: this is the first time since 2010 that he shot in the 60′s all four rounds of a tourney. When that happens more frequently next year, the dude is going to need a bigger trophy room.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:15 PM
Anyone coming to Indy this week for the BMW?
September 4th, 2012 at 12:16 PM
Kicking Da Rick off the team seems an easier decision now knowing that Patterson is your number 2
They went to him the first 4 throws. Think that says a lot about confidence in him. Could be a fun year.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:23 PM
This is Philly golf week for me… plus a wedding or some shit. But mostly GOLF.
September 4th, 2012 at 12:28 PM
Great part of the year when I stop sanctimoniously bemoaning the exploitation of college football players and transition to actively enjoying the exploitation.
/Team all is well during the harvest season
September 4th, 2012 at 12:32 PM
big lines like that scare me. which is why i loaded up on hawaii.
yep, i usually stay away too, but got burned on oklahoma and oregon, thinking 30-some was not crazy. was ill when i saw that oregon was up 54-3 at one point
September 4th, 2012 at 1:02 PM
it’d probably look like his sunday 62 at the honda classic this year.
/or sergio’s monday at the wyndham, but yall don’t wanna hear about him making five birdie putts with the distances of 1, 1, 1, 4, 6 feet.
September 4th, 2012 at 1:26 PM
Oregon’s starters could have scored 100 by the end of the 3rd. They definitely would have gotten to 70 by halftime if Kelly wouldn’t have taken out his starters.
