Amazing Boat Accident Footage is Hypnotic
On Russia roads they use dash cams as protection from other crazy Russians. In American lakes, dash cams are used for… well, I’m still not sure, but thank goodness for whoever installed a dash cam pointing back at the passengers of this boat as they hit a wake and the passengers going careening back and forth. Five of the passengers were taken to the hospital, but amazingly, no one was seriously injured.
Here’s the footage in slow motion so you can truly soak up the damage. Amazing, it looks like no one lost their sunglasses or bathing suit top.

His sunglasses stayed in the boat, but just barely.

The driver doesn’t so much look like he lost his balance and fell as much as a sniper got him.

oh yea…he went down faster than craig james on a crab-encrusted hooker.

Kind of surprised that a breast didn’t pop out.
So Penn State is in trouble.

They could have saved some production costs and just used this clip in The Descendants. Although the they have to change it to a homo version since the driver is the one that looks to be in a coma.

Babar…Jesus…laughing hard.

Seriously though, Penn State is in huge trouble.

Can’t say this past year has been a hoot.

I’ve seen enough of Ted Roof after 1 game.

Feel bad for PSU fans. Anyways, I vote to kick PSU off the Island and cordially invite Notre Dame to join the B1G.

It’s not all bad. I just took an awesome hangover dump.

Penn State will be fine. This might be a difficult year, but Ohio got one of their touchdowns on a lucky tip deflection and Penn State drove well on their defense in the first half. Once they adjust to the pro style offense more, they’ll be more successful.
I fully expect to be absolutely no context such as the above over the next week, but whatever.

No.
September 1st, 2012 at 3:45 PM
Well, you’re wrong, but do you at least care to try to explain why you think that?
September 1st, 2012 at 3:48 PM
Turned it just in time to see Syracuse screw up and lose the lead.
September 1st, 2012 at 3:53 PM
Sure. They hired an unproven head coach that had a little bit of success as an offensive coordinator with the Patriots, ask ND how that worked out. Players on the team are going to leave after the season, especially if it gets really bad. Getting top recruits is going to be nearly impossible in the immediate future, many of there better recruits this year have already swapped.
Maybe Bill O’Brien knows what he’s doing, but he looks like he’s already in over his head.

Fair point, but I wasn’t talking about this season and I wasn’t talking so much about Bill O’Brien as Penn State as a program. This will not, I don’t think, be the crippling penalty that everyone seems to think that it will. This loss today could easily have gone in the other direction. Yes Penn State has fallen far from where they used to, the NCAA sanctioned evisceration of the team was going to have an effect, but USC was under similar scholarship restrictions to Penn State and they seem to be doing pretty well. I agree that the stigma attached to the reason for their respective penalties is different, but if Baylor can recover from the Dave Bliss regime, then Penn State can recover from Jerry Sandusky.

Its a jump to conclusions mat. Its got a lot of conclusions for you to jump to.
Give the guy a chance to recruit some players that fit his offense, at least. A pass heavy system doesn’t fit McGloin’s … talents(?).
/is moxie a talent?

And McGloin looked pretty good. If anything, Belton was guilty of more sins than McGloin today.
September 1st, 2012 at 4:01 PM
but I agree, that its going to be a long year for the Nittany Lions and the fans.

meh. he was adequate in the first half, but bad in the second. he rarely puts the ball where it should be, even on completions. on that play action ball with about 10 minutes left, he had (forget the receiver) wide open and missed by 5 yards. According to me, at least. Brian Griese thought it was a “perfectly thrown pass”.
/it wasn’t.
September 1st, 2012 at 4:05 PM
McGloin is by all means ideal, but I think the failure to finish the first two drives in the game, both of which were solid drives his confidence faded a bit. I agree with what you said earlier though; O’Brien needs time to get his players in place and then we’ll see how this works.

The Penn State sanctions are harsher, and the program as whole is perceived much, much worse than USC was at the time. USC just “cheated”, PSU received these sanctions for the horrible things that were done on their campus and covered up by the highest employees in the university. With Ohio State most likely about to blow up with Urban, and UM back with Hokie, along with MSU, Wisconsin and Nebraska, why would a big time recruit that wants to play in the B10 would go to PSU. Why go there and deal with not being able to play in a bowl game on a team with no depth.
And USC isn’t exactly out of the woods just yet, I don’t care how good your starting 22 are, if you don’t have depth it’s going to hurt you. USC will probably do just fine, but their sanctions will take a toll on some level.
September 1st, 2012 at 4:18 PM
also, PA aint cali.
September 1st, 2012 at 4:43 PM
To be clear I’m not saying that the sanctions won’t take a toll, but in 4-5 years when kids are looking at picking where to go play football, they won’t care whether or not there were coaches and administration officials who led the coverup of disgusting and illegal activities by a former assistant coach. What seems like it is a point of outrage today is forgotten later.
As I said earlier, if Baylor could survive the Dave Bliss mess, then Penn State, which has a much richer football tradition than Baylor did a basketball tradition, can survive this.

That’s from hitting a wake? Bad driving dude
