LSU got pretty far running Michigan’s 1975 offense last year. We’ll see if they actually open it up. Their offenses in 2006 and 2007 were pretty legit (2 different OC’s and QB’s) so i’m hoping that it was more the QB’s than Miles.

They were good, but if Bama had a field goal kicker, they lose the first matchup pretty handily. They were good, but Bama was better almost across the board, and it showed in the NC game.

Brockers wont be missed b/c the D-line is so deep. None of the LB’s will be missed. It really comes down to Mettenberger.

Yep, I agree. Bama has a ton of question marks also. The main difference is Bama has had some insane recruiting classes the last couple of years. Sure, LSU’s are nothing to laugh at, but Bama’s have been historically silly. Also, quite simply, I think Saban is a big difference maker.

Just as long as they don’t announce a time, then move it two weeks before the game. I had to miss half of a Dwight Yoakam concert last season because the time moved from afternoon to evening. And I like Dwight.

This was part of their MO last year for sure. But they also wore teams down in the running game (ex. the 2nd half of the UT game last year). If they can get anything out of the passing game they have a shot. To be honest ever since the calendar struck 2012 it seems like there’s been a cloud over the program…but that all changes if Mettenberger is a legit starting QB, something they havent had since Flynn.

True, wearing teams down will work against teams like my pathetic Vols last year, but not against better teams. Jefferson wasn’t great, but he was a good fit for that team up until the 2nd game against Bama, when they just got owned (to be fair they should have lost the first matchup also). I just think big plays, whether it was Jefferson, Mathieu, Clayborne, or Randle were so important to that team last year, and their biggest playmakers for the most part are all gone.
