Had a tree guy come to make sure no more trees were gonna come down in the storms. He starts pointing out stuff that was put in by the first owners that was then neglected until we bought it. Apparently there are some “valuable” Japanese maples dying in the yard, and he thinks we should get a professional in. Anyone ever heard of/deal with Japanese maples? We have two 10 foot ones in the back, a 5 foot one “threadleaf” (he called it that) and a 3 foot one that is almost dead, in the front/side. Is it worth having someone treat them? What would they do?

He also said the hickory trees are pretty valuable, for their nuts. So I gathered up a bunch, and my wife made me throw them away. Apparently that’s why we are overrun by squirrels.

Trust me. After this past month (Truck in the shop twice, new oven replacing destroyed oven, wood rot repair, sewer back up,) I understand that math.

Utah St, Ohio St, BYU, Oregon (4 or 5 different), Maryland (4 or 5 different), Washington Redskins, Texas A&M, Arkansas (2 different), Notre Dame, TCU (maybe 3), Western Michigan, Rutgers, Virginia Tech, Houston, and Seattle Seahawks.

I’m willing to bet we see Michigan, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Florida, LSU, Georgia, Boise, and Stanford possibly do something around BCS time too.

damn, i just looked at the college football schedule and there are compelling games Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday and to a lesser extent, Sunday and Monday.Notre Dame at 9 am Saturday morning is just glorious.
