The Five Saddest Pictures and GIFs of Tim Tebow From the Jets 17-12 Loss to the Panthers
Tim Tebow is a star. No one denies this. Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, Tim Tebow went out and gave the performance of a lifetime, completing 4 of 14 passes for 55 yards and an interception to go along with 45 of the grittiest rushing yards anyone has ever seen.
5. Tim Tebow’s Popular Mechanics

I hope you young guys are watching out there in TV land. Look at this guy’s mechanics. You simply can’t teach football the way this guy plays.
4. Tim Tebow’s Accuracy, Pt. 1

In this gif from @cjzero, our hero helps NBC test their new NFL 3D technology. Fans watching the game at home on a 3D television were treated to a football seemingly thrown through their screen. Woah!
3. Tim Tebow’s Accuracy, Pt. 2

Having proven the validity of 3D technology in the home, Tebow returned to playing football. Here he hits a player right between the numbers after escaping certain peril in the pocket behind the Jets’ offensive line. You might think this was some careless interception, but Tebow was actually doing what Jesus would have done – he was helping his fellow man. Reggie Smith is in his first year with the Panthers and this interception may help him secure a roster spot which will allow Smith to support his family like a good Christian this season. Someone took a picture of Tebow’s stat line. Oof. Bested by Mark Sanchez. [@jvjj51]

this gonna be a new weekly feature?

is this going to be a season-long recurring post? I’m pretty neutral on the Tebow love-hate train, but this was enjoyable.
how far away was the nearest Jet?

This is just sad. Poor Jets. Maybe Rex can be the Lions new Defensive Coordinator next year.

are #1 and #3 different angles of the same throw or did timmy make more than one jumping pass attempt?
August 27th, 2012 at 2:02 PM
None of them were writing a check to PSU. Sad.

Nice jump pass there. Wonder if he learned that by watching new Buffalo Bill Tarvaris Jackson?

Tee-hee. I needed this.
All kidding aside, I think his throwing mechanics have actually gotten worse.
August 27th, 2012 at 2:04 PM
has anyone ever asked tim “hey man…i think you might be throwing with the wrong arm.”
August 27th, 2012 at 2:07 PM
I see CRM is looking to be the first writer hit with the banhammer. Good look!
August 27th, 2012 at 2:08 PM
that’d make sense…he’s thinking about it instead of just throwing the damn thing.
can anyone think of an athlete, any athlete, that totally reconfigured their swing, throwing motion, shot, etc, and got to a similar level of success? tiger woods? maybe? cant think of any QB’s that did a total overhaul…maybe someone smarter than i re: baseball has a few examples…

Spence: I know Tony Parker completely re did his shooting motion. Only athlete I could think of to change their mechanics.

Still can’t tell…at least 40-50 feet…lord knows how many fathoms.

Spence – Jose Bautista, but don’t let anyone tell you otherwise, b/c he’s def. on that HGH
/draw your own conclusions

yea, but he’s not exactly a great shooter either. and im not surprised some poofty, french piece of shit’s best shot is a limp wristed flick.
August 27th, 2012 at 2:12 PM
ya know, spencer, last night Collinsworth pointed out some mild improvement in Tebow’s motion. However, that footage was from warm-ups. In the pressure of the game, all that went out the window. He might be throwing with the wrong arm…
For your question, the only one I would guess at with a profound motion change would be Wilt Chamberlain. He did shoot free throws underhanded for a bit (and went 28-32 in that 100-pt game). I don’t think he shot ‘em underhanded in high school or college.
August 27th, 2012 at 2:13 PM
not surprised wilt would shoot granny…just hope he didnt get any in her hair.

/there goes the hot chocolate

Tebow’s INT in the 4th was terrible.
August 27th, 2012 at 2:17 PM
Well, that settles it, I am going to bid $40+ for Nick Folk this weekend.
August 27th, 2012 at 2:17 PM
pitchers do it all the time, but i’m not sure that’s an apples-to-apples comparison b/c they often experience a ton of success at different levels before being told they need a makeover.
August 27th, 2012 at 2:17 PM
No one is topping this.

has anyone ever asked tim “hey man…i think you might be throwing with the wrong arm.”
Or “hey man…do you have any eligibility left for college ball?”

TBL has become a prime place for masturbating material.

There are no less than 5 Panthers players in that GIF, and I have still yet to see the “intended” target…
