Sweet Caroline Banned From Penn State Home Games After Sandusky Scandal

Penn State has banned the tradition of singing “Sweet Caroline” at Nittany Lions home games, following the Sandusky scandal. The song’s lyrics, describing the then 11-year-old Caroline Kennedy and including the phrase “touching me, touching you” and other borderline inappropriate physical imagery were deemed insensitive and inappropriate. Hoping the Red Sox will follow suit. [via Traina]
