If you compare CLE to a top USA city of course it looks 2nd rate but compared to any 2nd level USA city it can stand on its own merits. Few cities had to cope with completely re-engineering it’s economic engine (steel to medical).

Browns have a nice young core but by the time it gels this season it will be way too late. It’s been tough pre-season as T-Rich hasn’t been on the field but the run-blocking has seemed real nice but the pass blocking has been brutal. The Taylor injury and the likely 4-game Harden suspension likely mean an 0-4 start.

Some rumblings today about Banner not being in Haslem’s group so the front office situation is FLUID until the ownership transfer in OCT. This year Haden gets extended, and the 1st round pick next year is another D-Lineman or CB with LB in 3-4.

The special teams still making asshole plays and could cost team 1-2 picks and I say it’s 50/50 the special teams coach makes it through the season.

I had a good weekend in Cleveland last year. Visited a college friend on the way to the Indy 500 and drank my face off for 2 nights.
