I have not done the trip, but reading the history of D-Day numerous times from different sources I would be able to spend 3 days driving along the Normandy coast stopping at cities where major battles happened. The beaches obviously, the towns where the paratroopers made initial in roads, and then driving towards Paris along the roads that the Allied forces used to make the push to recapture the city. But I doubt my wife would let me do more than a drive to the coast and the cemetery.
