Ryan Tannehill Will Start Week One for Miami Dolphins
Ryan Tannehill will be the fourth scheduled rookie starter to play on opening weekend, according to the Miami Dolphins. He has been named the starter by Joe Philbin. That total could increase if Seattle pulls a surprise and goes with Russell Wilson before the end of the preseason, though that is an outside possibility at this point. It’s also actually larger than last year, when six quarterbacks were selected in the top 50. Gabbert and Ponder did not begin the season as the starter but moved into the lineup after a month.
Tannehill’s wife, Lauren, will now be featured prominently on your television sets from the outset. Expectations should be tempered early, as the supporting receiver cast leaves a little to be desired. Legedu Naanee is expected to be the top starter, and Davone Bess, hardly known for stretching the field, is on the other side. As I stated earlier, if Tannehill had not beaten out Matt Moore (who we can safely categorize as a journeyman) it would have been cause for concern.

I’d rather her be featured prominently on my protuberance, but whatever. This is win-win for Dolphins fans.

Barbara: Don’t put it out with your boots, Ted.
Old Man Clemens: Don’t tell me my business, Devil Woman. Call the fire department, this one’s outta control.

She also posed for Playboy — but the pics were never published.
R.I.P., but…when it comes to legacy, that’s what I’m talking about. I’m embarassed to admit it, but I did laugh when I saw that in the article.

First Sherman Hemsley then Phyllis Diller, the streak of celebrities dying who I thought had died years ago continues
August 20th, 2012 at 3:55 PM
Because we’re supposed to know who Scott McKenzie is?
August 20th, 2012 at 4:00 PM
Horsehack (sic?) died too.
August 20th, 2012 at 4:01 PM
Because we’re supposed to know who Scott McKenzie is?
Yes, you should.
August 20th, 2012 at 4:01 PM
Horsehack (sic?) died too.
That was last week and therefore part of a different celebrity death trio. I don’t make the rules, I just follow them.
August 20th, 2012 at 4:03 PM
Its good to see a lot of Houston commenters showing up for this. Where is TexansFan, btw?
August 20th, 2012 at 4:04 PM
Because we’re supposed to know who Scott McKenzie is?
From an article, “Born Philip Blondheim on Jan. 10, 1939 in Jacksonville Beach, Fla., McKenzie developed an interest…”
Wait, what?
August 20th, 2012 at 4:51 PM
If you have to google someone’s name, or qualify their name with their most famous accomplishment, they do not belong in the the Celebrity Death Trio party.
August 20th, 2012 at 4:55 PM
CJ, you really have never heard the song “San Francisco”? If you’ve heard of the song, then the person belongs.
