Jason Pierre Paul Dumped Prince Amukamara into a Cold Tub, But it Seemed More Personal Than Hazing
Jason Pierre Paul, the Giants hulking superstar defensive end, picked up teammate Prince Amukamara and dumped him in a cold tub at the Giants’ practice facility. Hazing? Well, maybe if the video was from last year, when Prince was a rookie. But if it is from recently – Steve Weatherford, the Giants punter, tweeted it Saturday morning – then you’ve got to wonder if the two had some sort of beef. Why would another Giants player be shouting, “stand up for yourself?” Why would Pierre Paul essentially be doing a victory lap and high-fiving teammates as Amukamara walks away, clearly dejected with a sad look on his face?
Amukamara is shaping up to be a pivotal defensive player this season for the Giants, as the former Nebraska star appears to be one of the team’s starting cornerbacks.
Finally! A Giants story that might garner some interest and take the spotlight away from the Jets and that backup quarterback of theirs.

Maybe it’s the kind of in-house beef that teams go thru every year. I’m surprised a teammate a) recorded it; and b) posted it.
In a fortnight, it’ll probably blow over.

General rule is to not piss of DE’s. Guys that play at 3 positions are ones that you just don’t mess with because they’re typically freaks of nature combining serious size and speed. In order…
(1) Defensive Ends
(2) Linebacker
(3) Tight Ends
An argument could be made for LB’s over DE’s but if you mess with either, you’re likely in for a world of hurt.

I would not fight Haloti Ngata. Jon Jones’ brother has to be tough think he’s a rookie with the Pats.

I’m going with DE over LB/TE. I was given some tickets to this party with a bunch of Titans players, and I got to meet Keith Bullock, Wycheck, and Javon Kearse. All were huge, and Kearse may have been the smallest, but he was by far both the coolest and the scariest. I would not want to be on the wrong side of a fight with him.

then you’ve got to wonder if the two had some sort of beef.
Here’s what I think, which most likely is also the answer.
Prince was the last rookie to sign anywhere last year, and came to camp late. Right after he came to camp, like within two days, he broke his foot, and was out till maybe week 8.
What that means is that he never got his rookie hazing, and his rites of passage. So he skirted the fraternity initiations, but is still in the fraternity. JPP, who likely got hazed, didn’t like it, and decided to do something about it. And Prince couldn’t stop him, because nobody was helping, and this guy outweighs him by like 100 pounds.
They may not like each other, but that’s likely the justification for dumping him. And the reason the guy getting dumped is so pissed is because he’s a starter and a returning contributor.
