Aquille Carr, aka the Crimestopper, Arrested for Domestic Violence
Aquille Carr is an 5-foot-6, 18-year-old guard and the Baltimore Sun’s two-time All-Metro player of the year. Carr, whose nickname is “The Crimestopper,” recently committed to play at Seton Hall starting in the 2013-2014 season. On Saturday, Carr was released from jail for a domestic violence arrest involving Treshonda Williams, the 26-year-old mother of his son. From the Baltimore Sun:
Williams said Carr asked to speak with her outside the school, and she went outside. An argument erupted, and she said Carr grabbed her by her shirt and threw her to the ground. He then is accused of kicking her in the back, and punching her in the head and face before fleeing in his vehicle, according to records.
The responding officer said Williams did not have visible injuries and refused medical attention, but complained of strong pain to her left arm and said she was unable to move it. A photograph of her face was taken as evidence, records show.
Williams had told Carr that she did not want to be with him anymore. In case you were wondering, Carr “earned the nickname ‘Crimestopper’ because, it is said, crime stops in East Baltimore when he’s on the court.” Williams played last season at St. Patrick High in Elizabeth, N.J., but plans to return to Baltimore this year. So much fail.
Who’s the big man that beats the shit out of his woman (or any woman) for that matter. That dude should never see a college basketball court.
But, he can play, so all of this will be washed away with stories of his sacrifices and how he has changed for the better…. Only to see it repeat itself again.
