Tonight’s preseason schedule features six games, stretching from the battle of New York to the Show Me Showdown to a West Coast affair between former AFC West rivals Seattle and Denver.

Jets versus Giants: will the Jets really be better than the Giants this year? We’ll get to compare the 2012 versions for a half, as they will not play in the regular season.

Kansas City at St. Louis: Peyton Hillis and Jamaal Charles lined up a fair amount in the same backfield in limited action in week one. I’ll be counting how frequently they do that tonight. St. Louis was destroyed in the opener against Indianapolis and likely got their butts chewed all week.

Washington at Chicago: Robert Griffin III goes against a Bears first team defense without Brian Urlacher.

San Francisco at Houston: Two of the best defensive teams from 2011 will meet in the preseason here, it will be a good challenge to see if Alex Smith and the 49ers offense has improved with continuity.

Seattle at Denver: This one is all about an extended look at Peyton Manning, who should play into the second quarter. Matt Flynn is still the presumptive favorite in Seattle, but Russell Wilson could make things interesting with another big night.

Dallas at San Diego: Dallas managed only 3 points in the opener, so expect more reps for the first team, though they will be without Austin and Witten.
