Jeff Demps Will Sign with the New England Patriots: Rich Get Richer
Jeff Demps, the highly-coveted Olympic sprinter who played college football at Florida, will sign with the New England Patriots, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports. Basically every team in the NFL wanted Demps, who helped the US to a silver medal in the 4×100 relay at the 2012 Olympics (he ran in a preliminary heat). Back in 2009, Demps was one of the fastest players in college football.
Demps should immediately help the Patriots on kickoff returns and with speed out of the backfield. He’ll be another weapon for Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. As if defending two mammoth tight ends and Wes Welker wasn’t enough, now teams have to worry about a guy who has run a 10.01 in the 100 m. For some perspective, the 7th place finisher in the 100 at the Olympics, Richard Thompson, ran a 9.98.
The biggest loser here for New England could be former Jet Danny Woodhead, who returned kicks and was a pass-catching back last year.

very convincing of you to use a clip of him (and UF’s ST) shredding that highly touted Wildcat defense…

You mean the guy who went undrafted in April?

How can the rich get richer in a salary cap league? Isn’t that why you want an MLB cap, so the rich don’t get richer? I’m confused.
very nicely done.

Do the Patriots play the Colts this year? This kind of marquee signing could really swing a game in which the Colts surely need to win to be in the mix for the division.

TBL is just mad the Jets didn’t get him so he could team up with Tebow for that gimmicky shit offense they are going to trot out there.

I thought he was a “Belichick guy” – one of the coach’s personal favorites?
Even if he gets released by NE, I’d bet a dollar someone else picks him up in less than 72 hours. Tough, productive player who would be welcomed on another team.

Nice job shoehorning the Jets into another post.

She sounds as…ruthless…as he is. She’s been living in the lapdog of luxury way too long. Would love to see her have to work a 9-to-5 like regular folk.

“It wouldn’t benefit me whatsoever to have an issue with any of them”
Reminds me of when I was 18, I was hanging out with a couple friends in a parking lot and the cops came and told us to leave, and asked if I was drinking (it was my car). I straightened up and said “no sir, I’m not even 21″

Hey, I just noted the name change. You mention reason earlier? Did I miss the why?

Demps is obviously fast, but is not a good RB and didnt demonstrate much in terms of receiving skills at Florida. If he wasnt in the Olympics is this even a story?
Demps’ numbers against Alabama, LSU, Georgia, and Florida State last year:
17 carries, 8 yards.

Gisele is withholding judgment on this signing for the moment.
My husband cannot fucking throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.
