Anyone else here with Directv? I’m about to do my annual call and ask to have my bill lowered and was wondering if anyone has done so recently? And if so, what kind of deals they got.

I called yesterday to see if I could a cheaper package and they said if I kept the one I currently had they would take off $50 for the next 6 months since I was already signed up for the Sunday Ticket. Basically I’m paying the same price and getting the Ticket for free again this year.

Yeah, I had no idea. I emailed Jason last night but he said the picture was too grainy to make anything out and obviously the video was pulled. Who knows. It could be an inside joke with the idiots at Rivals and they could have some video of a dude who just looks like Murray.

If you have an “older” DVR model, you might be able to swing a deal with them and get the 20 dollar discount on the DVR. Other than that, they have been pretty stingy lately. I did get half the baseball season free because they incorrectly configured my DVR and I was having issues watching games every now and again.

I usually call this time of year and threaten to cancel my Sunday Ticket and they usually come back with some deals. I hope their not stingy this year. I hate to break out the threat of cancelling all together. One of these days I imagine they will call my bluff.
