Texas A&M is Trolling SMU With “This is SEC Country” Billboard

Texas A&M joined the SEC. Not surprisingly, they plan to use that as part of their recruiting pitch. A reader sent us pictures of this billboard, erected across the street from SMU’s Dallas campus. This is similar to the one spotted in Austin a few days ago. Texas schools undoubtedly will counter by sending recruits this YouTube link.

That billboard space has at other times also been occupied by advertisements for Texas Tech, TCU, and University of We Gave Spencer a Music Degree…I mean North Texas.
So what I’m saying is that this is not so much A&M trolling, as it is that SMU has a terrible marketing office within the Athletic Department.

I am disappointed there is no Johnny Pesky post. I understand it’s very regional, but he was pretty well-known across the game, and it’s not like all the stupid Red Sox bullshit doesn’t get covered here anyway. A small tribute to a true baseball man respected all over the game would have been nice.
