Monday Night Football: Dallas Cowboys at Oakland Raiders to Close Preseason Week One
The Cowboys and Raiders square off in California so that fans of both teams can get warmed up properly for the season with obnoxious behavior. Can’t just start that stuff in week 1 or you might pull something. Gotta build up to it, so pace yourselves, Raiders fans. On the field, a few things to look for:
Dallas secondary: This guy Morris Claiborne and that guy Brandon Carr both make their first appearance as the Cowboys hope this year’s version can stop someone, starting with a few series from Carson Palmer.
Oakland’s depth at running back: Darren McFadden no longer has Michael Bush as the replacement, so Taiwan Jones and Mike Goodson are just one McFadden injury from playing a much bigger role.

i’ll never understand what in wrestling is appealing to anyone over the age of 17.

Athleticism & drama. Maybe some of the comedy too, but that’s been downhill for a while, if we’re just speaking WWE.
It really shouldn’t be some sort of conundrum.

Mrejr is a good guy. Long time commenter. Trying to get his blog some pageviews. I still agree with everything you say, Ill.

It just seems like it is Real Housewives of whatever.
/Hasn’t actually watched wresting since 1996.
//The NWA was the best.
///To each his own.

I’m aware of all that, but i still don’t understand the draw to wrestling.

sounds similar to all the bad components of a porno.

I also prefer watching it from time to time (I haven’t in a few months) because it does make me feel like I did when I was a kid.
I grew up watching it, life is much shittier now, so why not revert to more hopeful thoughts and feelings?

I don’t think he has a girlfriend and/or weed.

I’m 37. So, late 80s – mid 90s were my time growing up. Never liked the WWF. Always was a NWA guy. Anyhow, wrestling changed to a glitzy thing in the late 90s.

Some of the old clips of stone cold, the rock, and Vince McMahon are still pretty funny.
August 13th, 2012 at 10:02 PM

I thought we all agreed to call him TROC Jones, or The Republic of China Jones. This vexes me.
August 13th, 2012 at 10:05 PM
They really are. I have a Rock VHS from him vs. Stone Cold, Big Show, Undertaker, HHH & DX and then some Rock & Sock stuff, haven’t watched it in a couple of years, but I’m sure it’ll still make me laugh greatly.
August 13th, 2012 at 10:12 PM
One of the best clips ever is when Stone Cold confronts Rock on a bridge, Rock hits him with a fishing rod and then tosses him and his WWF Champion belt into the river

Just heard Gruden say “personified” for the first time this year. Only 1167 more times this season to break the record.
“Yo. I put some sweet pics of my vacation on twitter today and also drank a lot if beer. I expect some reaction from you mopes”
What is your twitter handle? Where did you go on vacation? Is you wife hot?
/The last question is probably not the reaction you were looking for.

In my very humble opinion, the COOP Meme needs to go away. The dude is a good guy. Then the Penn St. thing happened. And then COOP went away. We need him back.
Oh, he is Liquor? Did not notice that.
Good call, Flaccid.

She will be pleased with your assessment chief

You must be still high from the methane.
Cant recall the show (dirty jobs?) but that one CT dairy farm channels all the manure into this bubble, traps the methane, turns it to a gas and powers their farm via the poop. Then they have an agent that takes the urine out of the manure, and with an additive, creates an organic planter from the manure. That was good stuff.
But seriously I used to have to drive through a dairy farm outside Fresno. Like 100 miles of methane.

An epic performance….one of my favorites was Vince McMahon in the hospital and stone cold is disguised as a nurse and attacks him with a defibrillator, a bed pan, and other assorted medical devices.
