Russell Wilson Scored Two Touchdowns, Had Over 180 Yards of Offense in His First Preseason Game
Russell Wilson was your preseason fantasy star Saturday night, as he went 12 for 16 for 128 yards passing, while also having 59 yards rushing, as he played the entire second half with Tarvaris Jackson out. (enjoy 3rd string, Tarvaris). Wilson also threw one interception.
Wilson demonstrated his accuracy and ability to make throws down field, on a night the expected starter Matt Flynn went 11 for 13, but only for 71 yards and also threw an interception. Early in the 3rd quarter, Russell Wilson threw a deep strike to Braylon Edwards for his first touchdown.
Here’s the second one, a bootleg run that Wilson takes all the way to the end zone.

“Let’s see what he can do against a first string defense!”

Based on wa I saw last night — and it’s only one preseason game, of course — Wilson looks like a player, and Flynn looks like a very capable NFL backup.
Wilson reminds me of Nate Davis with the abilty to read and retain a playbook.
I’d still love to see someone give Davis a shot.

Wilson should be starting come November. TJack does not belong on an NFL roster, his inacuracy is unmatched at this level.

He’s going to make a lot of NFL Draft analysts look like absolute morons.

fucking quote fail…
I root for guys like Wilson because all these analysts and so-called “experts” never give guys under 6′ a chance in the league.

The Seahawks now have more NFL-ready QBs on their roster than, say, a certain AFC team based in New Jersey.

Still waiting to get my Hawks alternate grey #3 Wilson jersey next month. The people answering the phones at the Seattle Team Shop are getting to know me by how often I call.

I’d venture to say that half NCAA D1 starting QBs and all NFL QBs are capable of putting up a stellar 2nd half in an NFL preseason game. This kind of means less than nothing.
Wilson could be a good or even great player but this one performance in a preseason game has very little to with either confirming or refuting the possibility

meh … he’s still not tall enough to see over the 1st quarter players. Still not convinced. At all.

Colt Brennen was amazing in preseason his rookie year.

Or, he was playing against a bunch of guys who will be working at Costco in a few weeks.

Kellen Moore still sucks.
