Other have made this observation: Badger’s loss will be felt most on special teams. He was a beast as a returner and headhunter last season, whereas his coverage skills got exposed later in the season.

The Tigers’ defensive line should be amazing next year. Both Sam Montgomery and Barkevious Mingo were All-SEC caliber ends last season. This year, as juniors, they will be All-American candidates.

Can’t they go into the draft after this season? I admit, the NFL-NCAA rules on underclassmen are a labyrinth I have trouble navigating. Plus. I’m too lazy to look it up.

LSU will be fine. The guy dyed his hair and had a cutesy nickname. It isn’t like LSU isn’t stocked.
