Garrard only needs minor knee surgery, and told Fox’s Jay Glazer it’s simply wear and tear. When you couple the knee surgery with the fact that Garrard missed all of last year following surgery for a herniated disk, it was sort of odd to see him wake-boarding in the opening scene of last week’s episode of Hard Knocks.

Matt Moore got the start for Miami in the season opener, but Tannehill looked sharp in reserve. One has to wonder if, after two more weeks of Tannehill improvement, the rookie gets the starting job and Garrard is cut. The Dolphins can cut Garrard prior to week one and save $2.25 million.
