Erin Andrews and Eddie George Danced to Call Me Maybe Because FOX’s CFB Coverage Is Topical and Fun
All, College Football, Erin Andrews, ESPN August 9th. 2012, 10:23am
As far as videos of Erin Andrews dancing go, this one is more grainy Bigfoot footage than EA and Vanilla Ice. Let’s go to the YouTube description from FOX Sports:
Erin Andrews & Eddie George were the life of the party at the FOX College Football photo shoot while dancing to the hit “Call Me Maybe.”
That’s good, quality, topical stuff right there FOX Sports. Not quite as topical as sweater power rankings, but dancing to Call Me Maybe is still pretty damn topical.

Aren’t black people supposed to have rythm or something?
August 9th, 2012 at 10:38 AM
I don’t think we should be talking about this.
August 9th, 2012 at 10:38 AM
I’m not expecting good things out of Fox College Football.
August 9th, 2012 at 10:39 AM
Depends on how much you dig marching bands, or did they cut down on that last season with the FX games? I can’t remember
August 9th, 2012 at 10:41 AM
I love those black college marching bands. Except for when they brutally beat the shit out of each other in a forms of “hazing.”

Butters – Yeah, Fox’s BCS run was really bad.

EA is more overrated than Neil Young, The Beatles, and Lolo Jones combined.
August 9th, 2012 at 10:51 AM
Great post. Fuck Tommie Frazier.
August 9th, 2012 at 10:51 AM
What did you say about Neil Young?
August 9th, 2012 at 10:52 AM
You have it within your power to help stop this, and yet you chose not only to not stop this, but to promote it.
History’s lamest criminal.

I think he meant to say The Hurt Locker.
August 9th, 2012 at 10:53 AM
It was a reference to whomever said he was overrated the other day in the comments.
August 9th, 2012 at 10:53 AM
He is the sousedbergin of music, only not so poetic or melodic to the ears.

Man, I love me some Destiny Hooker.

What I still don’t understand about that incident at Florida A&M is that the guy who was being hazed and subsequently died was the drum major. Isn’t the drum major the most senior guy in a marching band? Why the hell were they hazing him?
August 9th, 2012 at 10:55 AM
People who were belittling Bigelow the other day, they must never have seen Near Dark.

as I deal with douchebag dennis the commenter, i thought maybe i’d ask a commenter trivia question.
this is not meant to make the commenter look bad, and i wont name him. hell, it happened like 2+ yrs ago. at the time i was a bit pissed, now i just find it funny:
Which commenter, after I deleted some negative comments in a post, and then responded in the comments section, ran to AJ at Deadspin – with screen grabs! – thinking they should post it to make me look bad?
AJ forwarded me the email and kind of laughed.

Oh man I cannot remember. It wasn’t Rex was it? I do remember that being largely hilarious though.
Also St. Bear is the one who badmouthed Neil Young and that should be a banning.

I’m a fan of St. Bear so I don’t endorse his banning…but I do agree that he needs to be punished for impugning the name of Neil Young.

That seems like something Irish would have done though. Was it a DHO related post? This might have been when he was still defending him as being a legitimate NBA player.

Is that the time you deleted comments that were quoting a movie? What movie was that?

I do find it hilarious that said commenter would go to Deadspin, the site with the most insane rules for commenters. Them making fun of a blog deleting comments would be hysterical.

Why are we sending rovers to Mars when JPL’s brainpower could be used for matter far more important than space exploration. Like figuring out how Deadspin comments section works.

Full Disclosure. I used to comment at Deadspin. Way long ago and not very often. They have made their commenting system into a calculus problem. It is insane. I really enjoy this site’s top down simple system. No threading (threading is an abomination.) TBl keeps it simple and it works.

For serious, I read an occassional Deadspin article when it’s posted on Twitter or Facebook. If later I want to go to Deadspin to find that article again, it’s damn near impossible.

I’ll own up to this. I can’t stand him, just don’t see the appeal at all.

He asked to be hazed as part of a band initiation.

Maybe I don’t know how marching bands work, but he was the drum major. Isn’t he the most senior person there? Wouldn’t he have been ‘initiated’ long ago?

From what I have heard and read here in Atlanta (the guy was from Atlanta), there are a few drum majors in that band. He was “targeted” because he opposed hazing and he was openly gay. He decided to go through with the ritual to be more accepted by certain band members.

To be accurate, most drum majors are gay. Maybe not openly, but gay nonetheless.
