British Gold Medalists Laura Trott and Jason Kenny Drank Beer and Snogged Behind David Beckham
Laura Trott and Jason Kenny were spotted making out behind David Beckham at the women’s beach volleyball gold medal match yesterday. This proves my theory that David Beckham acts as an aphrodisiac. Kenny must have seen Beckham sit down in front of him and thought, “Yes. I am totally snoggin’ tonight!”
Since winning her second gold medal, it appears that Trott has been doing nothing but downing Heinekens and making out with Kenny. Between the couple, they have collected a lot of gold this summer. Trott won gold in the Omnium and Team Pursuit events. Kenny won gold medals in the Sprint and Team Sprint. It’s only fitting that they get married and have a ton of super-cycling babies. Trott and Kenny have been dating since June. Before that, Trott was dating endurance cyclist Sam Harrison.

You read that Urban piece yet, Spence?
August 9th, 2012 at 11:02 AM
Fuck that Google slalom bullshit. 17.8 seconds is still two star.

They were worth Bart Simpsons soul, take that back
August 9th, 2012 at 11:03 AM
IN other news, I don’t think I like Keegan Bradley based solely on the way he reads putts.

No. Pegging:Pogging::BJ:ZJ
August 9th, 2012 at 11:05 AM
What’s a ZJ?
August 9th, 2012 at 11:06 AM
huh…i really like the way he reads putts. dude’s money.
also, did you see the GC’s debate on long putters? i HATE long/belly putters, but couldn’t agree with webb simpson and carl petersson any more. the driver/ball is more of a problem than the long putter. no long putters in the top 20 in strokes gained putting. if the belly’s a crutch, then so is the hybrid.
unless they scale back the ball and driver head size, there’s just no way they can ban long/belly putters.

If this is non-ironic, then we can shut the internet down for the day.

Shit … it’s Beerfest … damnit.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:09 AM
I think Keegan Bradley is goofy is all. That stutter step on his iron shots and turning his head way to the side when he’s reading putts just pisses me off for some reason. Who knows.
Yes, saw the debate. Not sure where I stand on the issue but I agree Webb Simpson made tons of sense… until he got to the part of the equipment. Everyone use titanium, 460 cc drivers so the point is moot. Plus, the technical updates to drivers/irons do not alter the technical aspects of the swing that have always been the foundation of what separates great golfers.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:09 AM
If you have to ask…you can’t afford it.

No wind at all right now. By the way the pga.com feed is awesome right now if you can watch on the internet.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:11 AM
Keegan Bradley needs to go back to spitting every 5 seconds. I used to hate him and his little whiny bitch face. Now I’m starting to like that punk. Would love to see him, Duff Dog and Tiger battle it out on Sunday.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:12 AM
It was meant to set up the quote, sorry.

Aussie swimmers hang out at Burger King just waiting to catch a glimpse of him. That’s why they’re so fat.

August 9th, 2012 at 11:13 AM
Agreed. Clear, high quality, and no buffering.
Tiger is -1 (3 birdies, 2 bogies) through his first 9 (back 9). Ken Duke and Carl Petterson lead (-4) early.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:13 AM
Phil Mantits just ripped one on the first tee. Not talking about a drive.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:13 AM
If ever there was a candidate to go all David Duval, it’s Keegs.

I don’t get that one either. Dude looks like he is having eye problems
August 9th, 2012 at 11:15 AM
And I bungled it rather egregiously.

In the middle pic, the Frenchie in the top left corner is not amused. How do I know he’s a Frenchie? I just know.

August 9th, 2012 at 11:18 AM
Ooh, Lisk just made the dreaded there/their mixup on Twitter. I’m debating making fun of him.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:18 AM
Also, just read about how all “bunkers” are considered “sandy areas.” Interesting.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:19 AM
Could be worse. They could have had this guy sitting behind them.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:19 AM
You have one earring in.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:20 AM
I have a built in excuse for every single fuck up for the next 5 months, so I dont give a shit.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:20 AM
that’s not true at all. the technical aspects of drivers and irons/hybrids may not alter the swing, but it allows players with shitty swings to compete, not via talent, but via technology.
brandel chamblee made a GREAT point…if nicklaus was in today’s era, his advantage of being the greatest long iron player of all time would be totally negated by hybrids and cavity backs. talent should separate the players, equipment shouldn’t level the playing field.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:20 AM

So when one traverses to the beach and one gets sand in one’s vagina, said vagina is considered a bunker?
/ Have known vaginas that were tougher to get into than a bunker
August 9th, 2012 at 11:23 AM
So standardize and let the talent sort them out? Doesn’t technology help in all sports?
August 9th, 2012 at 11:23 AM
Are there that many shitty swings on Tour?
August 9th, 2012 at 11:24 AM
Lisk’s excuse is that there are 4 ankle-biters running around his house at any given time.

technology does help, but does it CHANGE the sport? no. basketball hoops are the same size, outfields roughly similar, football fields the same size, etc…
but in golf, technology’s changed the very way the game is played. before it was about skill and accuracy and strategy…now it’s about bombing and gouging and who’s got the hottest putter. kinda like watching the nba in the 80′s and early 90′s vs. the hideous early 00′s.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:28 AM
Lisk’s excuse is that there are 4 ankle-biters running around his house at any given time.
The very thought of that circumstance existing in my house is frightening.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:29 AM
The world #1 disagrees with this.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:30 AM
So when one traverses to the beach and one gets sand in one’s vagina, said vagina is considered a bunker?
/ Have known vaginas that were tougher to get into than a bunker
I say we replace the term “thin-skinned” by “sandy vagina”.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:30 AM
ted potter jr just won a tournament…and did you see scott piercy at the canadian open? dear god was that horrible.
honestly, i say yea there are. why don’t rory and hunter mahan have an advantage via their consistent, technically precise swings? probably because guys like ben curtis can just get some shovels and not have to worry about mishits killing them.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:30 AM
True to a point, and I agree, but golf has no standardized playing field, so you could adjust that way. Granted, it’s an expensive proposition and where does it stop?
Also, Keegan looks like Rainman before he swings the club.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:31 AM
**with, dammit!
August 9th, 2012 at 11:32 AM
What I was saying is that those other sports you mention, Spencer, were created with dimensions in mind. Golf wasn’t, so technology seems like a legitimate way to conquer those non-standard environments.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:32 AM
They used to be The Wiz. Nobody beats The Wiz!
I know about the soccer team. I’ve even seen them play at their kick ass stadium. Had no clue what a US Open Cup was.

I thought your clueless ass got canned. Welcome back.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:33 AM
the world #1 doesn’t have a major and is a complete anomaly. tiger, rory, westy, bubba, adam scott and justin rose are all in the top 10 and bombers and webb simpson, dufner and kuchar aren’t exactly short either.
and luke is so stellar in every other area, he can overcome that lack of driving. same with stricker and ZJ. but then you can have guys like keegan, dustin and fowler who can just wail away and have very little refined skill…take that forgiveness away and lets see how low they can go.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:34 AM
I believe you posted a picture of Potter and the position he was in just after impact and stated that it was a beautiful position. Also, how many guys on Tour had awful swings and still won with persimmons back in the day?
August 9th, 2012 at 11:35 AM
CJ, I enjoyed your response if only because it gave me the opportunity to think that 6,000 TBL readers collectively screamed “If you have to ask!” at their CPUs.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:35 AM
I thought your clueless ass got canned. Welcome back.
There was a jailbreak a week or so ago. Taguchi has been seen around here as well. Still waiting on Paolo to return.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:35 AM
Just don’t take it away from those of us not compensated to play.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:35 AM
they could’ve had a standardized playing field set in the 80′s and 2000′s but the USGA and R&A didn’t do anything and now were here.
the powers that be in golf care more about getting $$$ than they do protecting the sanctity of the game, it seems.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:37 AM
it was a beautiful position, but he doesn’t get into it that often. otherwise he wouldn’t have gone broke from missing cuts…
im all in favor of bifurcation.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:38 AM
Seems like to change the game by doing that, right? The essence of golf seems to be how you take your skill set and translate it to varying conditions and courses. I realize you’re saying technology takes some of that away. How could they have standardized?
August 9th, 2012 at 11:40 AM
uniform ball with a wound core (technology today could manufacture this consistently)…limit on clubhead sizes…no anchoring a club. if they nipped it in the bud, wouldn’t have to worry about people having do adjust after using that stuff for decades.
in their defense, they did regulate the springlike effect on the clubface, which was great.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:42 AM
Interesting. The ball thing I like. And aren’t they doing something with grooving now, too? Takes effect for us amateurs soon?
August 9th, 2012 at 11:43 AM
None of this golf debate matters because DUFMAN shall reign victorious on Sunday.
August 9th, 2012 at 11:45 AM
amateur groove rule starts in 2014 (year im going to enter the us am and publinx).
August 9th, 2012 at 11:51 AM
Good luck eating my dust. I plan to win the Publinx in 2013 and the US Amateur in 2014, thereby securing my berth at Augusta in 2015.
Just need to break 90 first this summer.
