Horrible news out of the London Olympics, as according to multiple reports out of London and confirmed by NBC News, a man riding a bicycle was struck and killed by a double decker media shuttle bus at the Olympic Games.

According to the Journal, “An AFP reporter saw a man’s legs protruding from under the double decker bus on a slip road outside the Olympic Park and his mangled racing bicycle lay nearby.”

From the Sydney Morning Herald, the bus was en route from the main media center to the ExCel Arena, the venue for indoor events such as Boxing, Judo, Table Tennis, Weightlifting, and Wrestling.
