Kirk Herbstreit’s Horse Won Its Debut Race at Ellis Park
Kirk Herbstreit is in the horse business. Look out, Jim Rome and Mike Francesa! According to an email from the National Thoroughbred Racing Association, Herbstreit’s 2-year-old Chestnut Filly, Dancininthecircle, won its debut race Sunday at Ellis Park.
I can’t find much on the web about Herbstreit’s foray into the horses, so I’ll put it on my list of things to ask him should I make it to Dallas for Michigan vs. Alabama on September 1st.

If I ever own a horse, I am just going to steal one of Frank Zappa’s children’s names. That should just about cover my bases.

I’m gonna guess he owns a minority share in his friend’s cousin’s horse.
Also, Jerry World is worth the price of admission alone for that Bama/Michigan game. I just wish I had more faith in Michigan so I could feel like I have 1/2 a chance betting/cheering for them.

I have no clue how horse racing ownership works, but saying he owns this horse seems to be like me saying I own Coca Cola because I have a little bit of stock in it.
