I think Mark Jones has improved a lot over the years – he used to remind me of a homeless man’s Stu Scott (there’s a sentence you don’t see every day).

Mark Jones was doing his thing on ESPN long before Scott got there.

Jalen Rose, Digger Phelps, Hubert Davis and the like combined probably know about half of what Gottleib does in the current NCAA basketball landscape. I put on pregame shows etc. for knowledge and though I don’t always agree with it, Gottleib did his homework and knew what he was talking about.

Big-time agree. Weird thing is, he is about as un-ESPN as they come. He and Mark Jones are the two play-by-play guys I enjoy the most.

My feelings exactly. TDK and TDKR were just awesome movies that even had a unique political or economic themes in them and Heath ledger was electric in TDK. But, like you, I walked out of The Matrix just blown away.

Normally agree with Jay V..but missing the boat here. People confuse “I disagree w/” with “talentless” far too often. Just because you don’t like someone’s opinions, doesn’t mean you don’t have talent. Very few can handle TV and Radio as fluidly as he does while being able to be as dialed in with a sport.

I honestly can’t comment on his radio show because I’ve never listened…but on the TV he comes across as having nothing other than “I am arrogant” schtick. As for his opinions — yes, I usually disagree. But he’s also factually incorrect. On 3 or 4 occasions he has just flat out embarrassed himself with his reporting, particularly in the area of conference realignment.

Disappointed in that whole trilogy.

Agree. The Marlins have given them some pretty good material to work with as of late though. Heat talk got nauseating for about, oh, 6 months.

I think it may be the best of the trilogy.
