DJ Williams of the Packers Says He Wrestled Cows in the Offseason, But Everyone is Skeptical
DJ Williams, a 6-foot-2, 250-pound tight end of the Green Bay Packers vs. a cow. Who you got?
But when he told a group of reporters Friday that the way he got stronger during the off-season was wrestling cows in Arkansas, you had to wonder if he was a little woozy or just having a bit of fun with everyone.
“That works out real good, especially if you get them with the baby calf, they’re really aggressive,” Williams said of his cow adventures. “That really helped. It starts out as cow-tipping but once they start charging, you have to go to defense mode.”
Likely story, DJ.
Williams, who starred at Arkansas, will probably be the Packers’ No. 2 tight end this season behind Jermichael Finley (unless Tom Crabtree snags the backup role.) The 6-foot-5, 250-pound Finley is rumored* to have wrestled polar bears in the offseason; Crabtree is said* to have grappled with declawed mountain lions. [Journal-Sentinel]
* Not really.

You sure he isn’t just talking about fat chicks at a bar?

Bullshit.
I used to wrestle calves back in the day and then hold them down while they got their nuts chopped and got shots. Taking down a calf isn’t too hard. Taking down a cow? Pfft. Taking down a cow with her calf present? No way. I had a friend in high school who was feeding and accidentally got in between a mom and a calf. He ended up with a concussion and bunch of stitches to reapply his scalp.

However, for most varieties, cows are really docile and generally have their own shit on their backsides.

I read that all out of context. He was obviously bullshitting.
