CFL Player Returns the Ball 117 Yards, Celebrates Early, Gets Tackled on the 1-Yard Line
All, Football, Oh Canada!, Video July 26th. 2012, 7:46pm
This is Chris Williams of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats taking a missed field goal back 117 yards … and not scoring a touchdown in a recent CFL game. Williams grew up in Texas and played college football at New Mexico State so it is understandable that he would assume he had scored after running such a long distance. [via Hot Clicks]

OT (Because this is old as shit).
Heading to Vegas. Wish me luck, better yet, wish my liver luck. I feel like a fuck because people go to Vegas for clubs, gambling, and sun, but when people ask me what my thing down there is all I can say is “I’m going to be drunk for 4 days”.
I leave tomorrow 3:30 AM PST, any good betting ideas? I know I’m taking all the dogs on the WMA fights. Going to do some baseball bets. If you have anything really good, send something to me @jdiddythreethou on the twit thing and I’ll drunkenly go with it.
July 26th, 2012 at 8:27 PM
i have fun doubling my bets on black in roulette on the electronic machines. find one that’s showing a mix of reds and blacks, put a $5 in and keep doubling the bet until you win…then start over. i’d do this when i got bored and wanted extra cash to pay tips and it literally never failed.
that and i’m 3 for 4 doing that with $100 right when I get to the first casino when i get there. always nice to start ahead $100 in Vegas.
/low-roller
July 26th, 2012 at 8:34 PM
I’ve seen you post something like this before. I’ll do it. So, start with $5, lose, toss in $10, lose, etc? until I win?
July 26th, 2012 at 8:34 PM
Timely
July 26th, 2012 at 8:36 PM
This happened last week!
Get it together TBL
July 26th, 2012 at 8:41 PM
I would parlay some massive favourites in the Olympics like USA men’s and women’s basketball with the Jamaican relay team, maybe throw in softball if it helps the odds. Bet 100 would yield like 50 but they’re all locks.
July 26th, 2012 at 8:44 PM
What are the current WS odds for contenders? Maybe put $20 on a value pick like DET?
July 26th, 2012 at 8:45 PM
Didnt get any attention in the U.S. til this year. CFL can go fuck itself with its shitty football
July 26th, 2012 at 8:48 PM
When will these morons ever learn to just run the ball in and stop acting like clowns?
July 26th, 2012 at 8:50 PM
The CFL should be banned for having two teams named the Rough Riders. I don’t care if one has a space between rough and rider.
July 26th, 2012 at 8:52 PM
jdiddy bet baseball overs when you see 6.5 or 7 or underdogs when the favorite is -200 or more
/sitting on a pile of your money, baby

i have a an edmonton eskimo toque
July 26th, 2012 at 8:53 PM
@Soused – I was thinking something like that, too. Maybe USW Soccer, too?
July 26th, 2012 at 9:28 PM
The CFL should be banned for having two teams named the Rough Riders. I don’t care if one has a space between rough and rider.
That’s pretty awful but the SEC has three teams nicknamed ‘the tigers’ and two teams nicknamed ‘the bulldogs’. That will forever be the gold standard.
July 26th, 2012 at 9:31 PM
a few years ago, i would have advised betting on a ton of baseball games when the east coast ones start and then you’ve got four hours or so of action with games everywhere and FREE drinks. unfortunately, those dried up at most sportsbooks recently to the point where most you have to bet $50 to get a free drink ticket.
You could even start with $1 and on some machines play 25 cents each spin just to try it out. we would go to a buffet at say The Mirage and I’d tell my wife I’ll be right back, hit the roulette game to win $3-4 singles and use that to pay the tip. Just depends how much you’re working with and how much you wanna try.
July 26th, 2012 at 9:42 PM
Dang, Williams.
Dude has some burst. He’s fast enough to be a play-maker in their league. Just need to work on his skills above the shoulders.
July 26th, 2012 at 9:56 PM
you guys wanna get your A game tomorrow and top this?

PSU actually adds to their recruiting class.
Sure this kid was a I-AA player and he’s just filling the scholarship for the kid that just decommitted, but I love the quote about Indiana.
July 26th, 2012 at 10:23 PM
Out of the mouth of babes…
PSU gets a bunch of kids like this, takes on the “us against the world” mantra, messes around and wins some games, and things are gonna get complicated up in this mofo.
July 26th, 2012 at 10:24 PM
Do cable boxes wear out over time? This time warner box is so slow at times…takes like 2 minutes for the channel to switch. Bullshit
July 26th, 2012 at 10:26 PM
A.P., yeah they do wear out. How long have you had yours? You oughta be able to take it to the nearest service center & swap out for another one.
July 26th, 2012 at 10:26 PM
Could be possible. I only have DirecTV experience recently, but even that died after four years and they had to send a replacement.
July 26th, 2012 at 10:28 PM
Just had to have Comcast replace one of mine – the signal receiver from the remote quit working. No f’ing way I was going to get up to change the channel.
July 26th, 2012 at 10:30 PM
With the core of the team committed to coming back and referencing the original topic in the comment thread, I LOVE the “over” for PSU this year (6.5 wins). I think 7-5 would be easy, probably more like 8-4/9-3
July 26th, 2012 at 10:31 PM
It’s always the monorail episode that gets quoted. Or Ralph Wigguns.
Maybe it’s unpossible to top those.
July 26th, 2012 at 10:33 PM
Speaking of cable, SROD, did you notice the Borgnine festval on TCM?Greatlinup: Ice Station Zebra, Bad Day at Back Rock, Marty, The Dirty Dozen, The Wild Bunch …
July 26th, 2012 at 10:34 PM
Disclaimer: I don’t hate the Nittany Lions football team.
Your win prediction is definitely reachable, and it makes us separate yet again the team on the field from the crimes committed.
We have to consider this thing on so many levels, and it complicates the narrative. You know we like our sports in black and white. Don’t make me consider even basic nuance.
July 26th, 2012 at 10:34 PM
AP, just changed my cable box after having the same one for 4 years. Broke my remote, but they upgraded me for no cost and marveled at my old box. However, it required a home visit from Charter as my new box was defective. Some slight improvements in speed but nothing earth changing.
Probably worth it just to see if you can improve…
July 26th, 2012 at 10:35 PM
Borgnine deserves an Airwolf marathon as Dominic Santini.
July 26th, 2012 at 10:41 PM
TCM is doing a Borgnine marathon tonight – From Here to Eternity, The Wild Bunch, Bad Day at Black Rock. The Dirty Dozen was on earlier.
That guy was great in so many roles. R.I.P.
July 26th, 2012 at 10:43 PM
anyone have any knowledge or Lake Geneva, WI and what exists to do there other than a lake? attractions, restaurants, places to stay?
speaking of cable/satellite stuff, we cancelled DTV after several years. not even a week later, they have already been offering the newbie package that includes the four receivers, the Season Ticket free for a year, etc. Which makes me wonder why people don’t just cancel after two years and then wait for them to make the new offer.
July 26th, 2012 at 10:44 PM
That just brings to mind a Vick/Tebow mashup, and that ain’t pretty.
July 26th, 2012 at 10:45 PM
As a child of the 80′s and one who hasn’t seen his earlier stuff, I can imagine it’s worth watching. I’m still nostalgic for the episodes with him and “String” and where they dropped the hammer as the sound of breaking glass was overdubbed.
The DD with EB as the charmed observer was good though.
July 26th, 2012 at 10:45 PM
nada! That combo would make the internet crack in half.
July 26th, 2012 at 10:45 PM
I heard Howard Hughes was a fan and Saul Goodman.
July 26th, 2012 at 10:47 PM
Would that be a black Tebow, white Vick mashup?
July 26th, 2012 at 10:48 PM
The Devil’s Rain is often overlooked in discussions of both the Borgnine and Shatner oeuvres. That is one entertaining movie. It also features a very young Travolta as one of the satanic acolytes.
July 26th, 2012 at 10:49 PM
Any love for the show The Equalizer from the 80′s? Used to watch that at my grandma’s when I was like 8 years old and ended up getting a bootleg set of the series on DVD for like $7 on Ebay recently.
July 26th, 2012 at 10:50 PM
I’ve read that very bit of advice quite often on here from cable/satellite users.
July 26th, 2012 at 10:50 PM
Not sure, it was here when we moved into the house. Its probably at least 4-5 years old. Will have to go to TW and swap.
Bad TW story: when i moved here with my folks in 2009, mom got the bundle over into her name. For about a week, we weren’t receiving any calls. I called on my cell phone and got the message that the number was not in service. I lit into TWC. They said that it was standard to change phone numbers when accounts changed hands. I gave them hell until I finally got a supervisor who ended up getting the number changed back along with a big credit to the account. Absolute douchebaggery. Yeah, lets change the telephone number and not inform the people living in the house. If it was my personal account, i would have ditched them for full refund
July 26th, 2012 at 10:52 PM
Edward Woodward starred in the original version of The Wicker Man, another amazing movie.
July 26th, 2012 at 10:52 PM
nada, I didn’t look at comment 30, and it’s evident. I apologize.
“Marty” just ended. I admit it; I’m a sucker for certain movies, and that is one that always gets to me.
There’s that one scene when his mother and aunt are talking in the kitchen, and the aunt warns Marty’s mom how he’s gonna come in/complain about the house falling apart/selling the house & moving into an apartment.
As he comes in and virtually repeats the aunt’s concerns, I thought that was well-written, true-to-life, and a harsh reality about growing old.
July 26th, 2012 at 10:53 PM
Shake ‘em on down, as Bukka White would say.
July 26th, 2012 at 10:56 PM
I loved it. I like my TV heroes guys who talk less and kick ass more. Woodard did a great job in the lead role. R.I.P for him as well.
OT: Nats up 8-0 over the Brewers, bottom of the 8th. Henry pitching again, not throwing strikes again. Brewers swinging at balls does help, but only so far.
July 26th, 2012 at 10:57 PM
I love the part at the end where he tells off Angie:
You don’t like her. My mother don’t like her. She’s a dog. And I’m a fat, ugly man. Well, all I know is I had a good time last night. I’m gonna have a good time tonight. If we have enough good times together, I’m gonna get down on my knees. I’m gonna beg that girl to marry me. If we make a party on New Year’s, I got a date for that party.
You don’t like her? That’s too bad.

July 26th, 2012 at 11:01 PM
Formatting fail. Drat.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:01 PM
that ending was cool.
Right before it, though – the scene where Clara is at home watching Ed Sullivan while in tears? First time I watched the movie & didn’t know the ending, I got a bit choked up over that.
OT again: Carlos Gomez, the subject of the goofy long foul/home run trot/morning post here today, just hit a tape-measure bomb off Henry. Dang, there goes the shutout.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:03 PM
Saul is a classic character, but I would have the same concern. If they could show enough of whatever character is featured that week it might work. As long as both of his security guys are there too (I think I saw both on BET Comic View one year – the ginger and the really fat dude)
July 26th, 2012 at 11:04 PM
Those Nats are a team to root for. Myself, I keep waiting for the trainwreck that Fredi will inevitably drive the Braves into.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:05 PM
I miss Huell, he hasn’t been on yet this season.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:07 PM
ya know, nada, lots of folk have been saying that about the Braves. I could see ‘em finishing strong.
Between Chipper, McCann, Uggla, Freeman and a resurgent Heyward, their offense is still capable. Don’t know if even Fredi can screw that up.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:09 PM
Just got home from watching Dark Knight in IMAX. Holy cow that screen is enormous.
/first IMAX experience
July 26th, 2012 at 11:10 PM
Anyone in TBLAD know anything about central AC units? Mine appears to be frozen over.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:10 PM
like the IMAX or was it too much? i’ve gone with the regular screens recently.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:10 PM
smallie, how’dja like it?
July 26th, 2012 at 11:11 PM
The pitching is down to Hudson and Hanson, though. And you gotta figure Fredi will burn out Kimbrell down the stretch the way he did last season. So I’m not optimistic.
Fredi is like the inverse of Bobby Cox, who was a great regular-season manager but always freezed up in the postseason when it came to his pitchers.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:12 PM
Sounds like a compressor maybe?
July 26th, 2012 at 11:13 PM
Better call Saul.
Have you had it serviced at all recently? I don’t remember the answer to this but it’s likely you will need them to at least do that.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:13 PM
I remember watching imax back in the early days of that technology. Im just cheap so i stick with the basic matinees
July 26th, 2012 at 11:13 PM
So Smallie, did they have security out the ying-yang at the screening?
July 26th, 2012 at 11:14 PM
Hey rollo, what ended up happening with the sister-in-law’s douchebag guy?
July 26th, 2012 at 11:14 PM
If someone bet the under on those PSU seasons can they retroactively claim their winnings? If so, which current team would bet a future on vacating games? In my mind Kentucky Basketball and Georgia Football. UNC would have been the bet 4 years ago.
US women’s soccer i would consider less of a lock than the others.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:14 PM
I still expect ‘em to get Dempster. He’ll fit right in.
With O’Flaherty and Venters, you got two other closer-capable guys in the bullpen. Give Kimbrell a day off once in a while. If those three guys stay healthy, they’re damn near unhittable.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:16 PM
Also, that handle just calls out for a matching gravatar, Smallie.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:18 PM
He seems like he really doesn’t want to leave Chicago, so I don’t know. If it turned into a Rick Sutcliffe-type thing, I’d be on board, but I don’t see that happening here.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:18 PM
We were late so ended up sitting in the 3rd row. Thought it was ridiculously awesome either way, but think it has to be better to sit in the middle of the theatre.
That sir, was an outstanding movie.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:18 PM
Matt Harvey for the Mets has 10 K’s thru 5. He’s already set the Mets record for most strikeouts by a rookie pitcher in their ML debut
July 26th, 2012 at 11:19 PM
it’s gotten all kinds of awkward. first, she came home from being out with him at a mall where, since I was the only one awake, she showed me the bras she got at Victoria Secret and complained that he didn’t like him and wanted to know what I thought. i tried as much as possible to act like i didn’t give a shit and i think that just makes it worse.
then today when he came to pick her up, the dad put one of his guns in a holster and went out to greet/intimidate him. waiting for the fallout from that when she gets home.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:19 PM
Welcome to Illinois, yeehaw!!!
July 26th, 2012 at 11:21 PM
sheeeeeeeet. I’m originally from the suburbs of Schaumburg near Chicago so I’m not prepared for this country shit.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:21 PM
2 years ago. Old house, old unit, been on it’s last legs for 2 summers probably. Had to replace the furnace 2 Christmases ago, so I’ve been trying to get one more summer out of it for 2 straight summers. Very strange to see ice outside on the hose when it’s been 90 all week.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:21 PM
I heard today on MLBN (I think Heyman) that the Cubs want to get younger & cheaper on the pitching staff. Seems like they want to clear Dempster off the payroll.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:23 PM
Does he throw that hard, or is he a trickster supreme? If that’s mostly fastball, that is some serious heat.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:23 PM
None whatsoever. Barely checked movie tickets on the way in.
Not sure I’m smart enough to put an avatar on here. I’m barely smart enough to figure out how to quote properly.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:23 PM
This is funny. Google “Rick Sutcliffe” and the third thing that comes up is “Sutcliife drunk.” And a very entertaining clip it is.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:26 PM
It’s easy, even I figured it out. Just go to gravatar.com and follow the steps.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:26 PM
Wonder where Monster is tonight. Maybe it’s his night off.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:26 PM
SROD, 62 of 80+ pitches for strikes. 50 of 62 fastball. Hit 97. Absolutely nasty slider at 70 MPH. making arizona batters look ridiculous
July 26th, 2012 at 11:27 PM
i think that would be the refrigerant. it will freeze up regardless of the outside heat. but that’s about where my expertise might end.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:27 PM
I think he is heading back up to plattsburgh, NY area this weekend.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:28 PM
Was hoping maybe he got that new job already…
July 26th, 2012 at 11:28 PM
I’ll give it a whirl then. Thanks.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:29 PM
Speaking of baseball, i want to skip this weekend. I fear the red sox will get humiliated at yankee stadium. I’m almost to the point of wanting them to lose and sell off some players. Its ridiculous
July 26th, 2012 at 11:29 PM
Back to the Borgnine … if you’ve never seen Bad Day at Black Rock, go DVR it. One of my favorites of all time. Borgine and Lee Marvin being badass, but not as badass as old, one-armed Spencer Tracy.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:30 PM
A.P., that’s dominant stuff from the young man. Hopefully he doesn’t have an innings limit this season. Is he the next Tom Terrific?
I shoulda been watching, but I stumbled on a show looking back at Yo! MTV Raps.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:32 PM
Please don’t ship Beckett to the Braves. That’s one of tbe rumors I’ve heard.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:32 PM
Yep, I plan to. Robert Ryan was pretty sinister in that picture also.
Tracy looked unassuming in his role, but that level of determination in his character was impressive.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:33 PM
Man, oh man. It seems so back in the day.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:33 PM
I am hoping to get a new job. I’ve had a couple interviews and a couple pre-screenings. I just want an entry level job.
Moral of the story here kids is to never get yourself a record!
July 26th, 2012 at 11:34 PM
RE: AC Problem
Almost always the coils are dirty. change your filter, wash down your coils if you can (shut off electrical breaker first!) My friend is an ac tech, he says it almost always just a dirty system.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:34 PM
Nada, you don’t want a whiny aging former ace?
July 26th, 2012 at 11:36 PM
A.P., IMHO, it seems these days employers can be a bit more flexible in hiring folk who’ve been in “the system”. I’ll ask you like we asked monster last night:
What skills do you have? Where’s your passion? Where’s your gift or talent?
July 26th, 2012 at 11:36 PM
Best of luck, AP. I went through the unemployed/underemployed thing a couple of years ago, and wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I think a lot of people don’t realize how fortunate they are these days.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:37 PM
I could make an exception if he brings chicken and beer for everyone.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:38 PM
Seems to be the most common theme on google.
Filter is new, no idea where to begin on washing the coils. Thanks for the suggestion though. Probably needs to be serviced regardless.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:38 PM
Speaking of Beckett …
July 26th, 2012 at 11:40 PM
Harvey’s done. Eleven Ks in 5 1/3. Nice.
Camera shot of female relatives in the stands – a couple of ‘em looked nice.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:43 PM
If you aren’t comfortable doing it yourself, I would ask around to find the best service. The most popular by us was the biggest place called Four Seasons and they wanted to do some $500 worth of repairs. The cheaper and more local place serviced it for $59 and “off the record” told me that place will overcharge and recommend shit you don’t need. i’m sure that’s common.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:44 PM
I love old-school badass types. Ryan, Marvin, Robert Mitchum …
Recently rewatched Point Blank with Marvin. I’d love to spend a whole weekend watching late-’60s/early-’70s crime flicks like Charley Verrick, The Friends of Eddie Coyle, The Organization.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:45 PM
SROD,
Sad thing is that everything i can do, i cant get a job in anymore. Stuff i can get, i have no experience. A lot of places don’t want to spend the time and money to train newbies. Right now, i just need to get something to pay the bills. Its not really about what my passion is or my skills.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:46 PM
Went through that when my furnace blew up the day after Christmas 2 years ago. 4 places, 1 locally owned and operated, 1 major store, 2 regional stores. All 4 quoted install and price on the exact same furnace. Local store was 35% less than the next best price. I’ll be calling them in the morning to come check out my AC, as I feel comfortable knowing they treated me right last time.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:47 PM
Beckett never wants to talk to the media. He is a surly little baby. Thin skinned
July 26th, 2012 at 11:49 PM
Beckett to the Braves? Please say it ain’t so – I can’t stand that low-class fat fuck.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:49 PM
Nada that was easy to put a gravatar in.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:52 PM
I can barely remember anyone who’s graduated recently who has actually gotten a job in the field they got a degree in. I know you mentioned something with your record and not that you’re a recent grad, but it’s as bad out there as it seems.
The famous sis-in-law just graduated with a teaching degree and her family was flipping out because she got her first interview with three weeks until school starts. not an actual job. just an interview that 16 others probably have too.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:52 PM
but I love the quote about Indiana.
That is funny… truth.
If I was O’Brien, I’d steal the top offensive assistant at GA Tech or GA Southern and run that wing-t triple option. The big 10 would hate him.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:54 PM
I can’t quite make it out, these old eyes. Is it a bunker?
July 26th, 2012 at 11:57 PM
The truth. Though not a recent grad. I was forced to switch fields a couple of years ago just to survive. Tough as it is on the youts, it’s even worse for us old-timers.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:59 PM
13th green at Augusta. My favorite hole in golf. I’d give just about anything to play a round there, and only slightly less than anything to actually get picked for tickets one of these years.
July 26th, 2012 at 11:59 PM
It’s a route that more talent-challenged programs should take. It’s worked wonders for Air Force and Navy.
July 27th, 2012 at 12:00 AM
This area sucks as well. I just don’t have resources to move elsewhere and look for work.
I graduated in 2004 and have never really had a job in my degree field. I have lots of college regrets.

Amen, brutha.

What’s your degree in?

Majority of people I know and work with are the same way.

If it gives you any hope, AP, my background was in journalism, but I managed to transfer my skills out of that train wreck into something more secure.

Accounting major in undergrad. Never worked a day in that field.
rollo mentioned it last night, A.P. Networking is so important. You already know someone who may know someone else who has a position to fill. You may be suitable for that position, but getting you matched up with the hiring authority is key.
Keep getting the word out. Your turn too will come. I have no doubt.

Communications. But the program at the school wasnt great, sadly. I switched from a music major just because i wasnt sure what i wanted to do. I wasted a lot of money at a private college knowing not what i wanted to do.
Ive looked at work-from-home jobs but so many are scams. It’s pathetic when the legit gigs get swallowed by the postings by the scam artists. Im looking into some unpaid internships but i need a paying job

I go sleepies now. Youse guys are the greatest. “As always in parting, I wish you love…Peace…and SOUL!”

SRoD, the networking isn’t necessarily the problem. Its not passing background checks and employers not willing to even give an interview

i don’t know if vez (Walking Underwear) is around, but at one point I actually was asking around at my high school to see if there were any jobs gonna be available in the subject he could teach. There weren’t. But that’s just from knowing him from TBLAD.

Night, SROD.

Vez actually manages to make a living as a freelancer. I think that’s amazing in this age.
July 27th, 2012 at 12:16 AM
Would it help more though if you were getting a job through knowing someone where they could easily overlook that? that might be a dumb question.
i just knew a guy who worked at Cisco Systems from two years and got laid off/let go. Was basically screwed, but got lucky and a buddy’s dad knew a guy who he met at a random party that hired him within two days and he’s been working there ever since.
that’s what i would hope could happen for you.
July 27th, 2012 at 12:18 AM
Time for me to bail, too. Good luck, AP, keep pluggng away.
July 27th, 2012 at 12:19 AM
that is amazing. i might have mentioned to him that he could sign up to be a sub teacher in my district and i could handpick him whenever i take a day off. if i take 10 days off per year, that would get him $100/day. And that’s just from knowing him from this site. haha in fact i’m still looking for someone who is under 80 years old and speaks English to do this job.

Lemme ask you this, then. Is there an employment counselor you can speak with (especially one who doesn’t charge $), to get some insight on employers who are more willing to interview someone with your background? Maybe your city or county has some job placement support office…?
I guess, guess, that some employers do still take a chance on guys who are turning their lives around.
I don’t want to bore you with cliches that don’t pay the bills. I would hope that some employers who have had good experiences with guys seeking second chances would continue granting those opportunities.
Also, some churches and placement centers may be willing to give a guy a helping hand regarding work searches. If you attend a church or know of a church near you, sometimes their front office will either share job info or have a member who is looking to fill a position.
Hell yes, I’m rooting for you.
July 27th, 2012 at 12:24 AM
Also, some churches
Good call SROD – I’ve done some of my best job networking with guys from church.
If you have any IT skills, the market is heating up.
July 27th, 2012 at 12:29 AM
Same here. And that will be a good note to sign off on for me too.

Registered with the county employment center. The lady has gotten leads for me and I’ve applied to those places. Just not getting the interviews.
This country as a whole does a terrible job at integrating recovered felons back into the work place.
July 27th, 2012 at 7:24 AM
Does she know the leads aren’t paying off? I assume you have hit her with some feedback.
Maybe the lady needs some counseling as well.
