What else did this Red Sox season need? How about a Mark Prior comeback? The former Cub phenom has thrown 15 1/3 innings in relief for the AAA Pawtucket Red Sox in 2012, more than he threw from 2007 to 2011 combined for an MLB affiliate. Apparently, he has tweaked his mechanics.

The good news? He has struck out 28 batters, allowed just seven hits and has a 3.52 ERA. He has also had just one week-long injury with a strained oblique. The bad news? He has walked 17 batters.
