Soccer Players Assault Referee in Florida
Only in Florida. Police in Clearwater, Florida are looking for Ramone Mitchell and Omar Anderson. Mitchell and Anderson are accused of assaulting a referee after a game because they didn’t like a call. They forced the referee to the ground and punched him in the back of the head.
“The referee fell to the ground and received serious, but non life-threatening, injuries to his shoulder,” a spokesperson for the City of Clearwater wrote in a media release. The referee was taken to a local hospital.
The men drove away in a white Mercedes.
