Never understood how swimmers and gymnasts came to be the superstars of the Olympics, when we ignore them for the rest of the 4 year period. I feel like even T&F has taken a backseat to those two sports.

Also can anybody explain to me why all of Phelps’ relay golds don’t count for 1/4 of a medal when we talk about his all-time medal chase? We’re really going to give relay medals the same weight as individual medals?
