Kenny Britt, the talented but troubled receiver of the Tennessee Titans, has been arrested for DUI according to a radio station in Nashville and confirmed by ESPN’s Chris Mortensen. Britt, a 2009 1st round pick from Rutgers, caught 42 passes in each of his first two seasons in the league, but only played three games last year before tearing his ACL and MCL.

But three years into his career, he’s got a worse rap sheet than Dez Bryant of the Cowboys – bar fight, spent one afternoon running – literally – from the cops (he allegedly had marijuana on him), resisting arrest and now, a DUI.

Britt, who once got on stage with Britney Spears, will probably face a suspension from the NFL. (Bummer, Titans fans – Tennessee opens with the Patriots, Chargers, Lions and Texans, four opponents that will likely make the playoffs.)

If healthy, the Titans could improve on last year’s 9-7 record – Chris Johnson should have a bounce-back from last year’s horrible season, 1st round speedster Kendall Wright should fit nicely opposite Britt, and the defense was Top 10 in points per game allowed. If the run defense improves (24th in the NFL), the Colts stink again, and the Jaguars stink again, the playoffs should be within reach.
