The Today Show Aired Footage of Vince Young Jerrod Johnson While Interviewing Michael Vick
Michael Vick was on The Today Show this morning to promote his book, “Finally Free.” While the interview was ongoing, the B-roll footage showed a quarterback throwing passes at Eagles camp. Of course, that quarterback was throwing passes right handed, and wearing Number 8. All Philadelphia Eagles quarterbacks apparently look the same! The QB shown on the Today Show? Jerrod Johnson, formerly of Texas A&M. I’m sure it will be Mike Kafka who accidentally gets put into Michael Vick highlights.
I get it, I’m tall and think all short people look the same, so I’ll probably pull footage of Chase Daniel for my upcoming Saints preview and call it a day. [h/t: Crossing Broad]

Gotta tell you, I’m not nearly as disgusted by dogfighting as I am by the people who thinks hurting animals is worse than hurting humans

Agreed 100%. Sign of sociopathy right there, mang.
Maybe, MAYBE, people can think that hurting animals and hurting humans are both bad things to do? Nah, clearly better to say I’d rather watch the news about countless gang murders in Chicago than the ASPCA commercials.

agree with the Kaiser.

It’s not nearly on the level as White Mike Vick

Michael Vick was on The Today Show this morning to promote his book, “Finally Free.”
It’s like he wants me to hate him.
July 17th, 2012 at 10:25 AM
Yeah, not really any similarities. Left vs right, short vs tall, cannon vs bb gun, built vs skinny, etc… someone in the video room is retarded or has a sense of humor. Either way, prob fired.
I agree, but I don’t think it is always the case. It sucks either way, especially because dogs are usually pretty innocent in the whole situation. Some people put themselves in situations by their own decisions.

#ShotsFired at spencer.
July 17th, 2012 at 10:30 AM
most people think hurting animals and hurting people are equally bad. people who willfully disregard either over the other are unstable.

The conversation regarding dogfighting always seems to get heated. Being from Atlanta, I had a front and center seat regarding the whole mike vick saga. It dominated talk radio for a good 5-6 months. You wouldn’t believe the number of people that called in saying how hurting animals is so much worse than hurting human. Because animals are “good” and humans are “bad”. Him killing an innocent bystander in a shootout at the club definitely wouldn’t cause as much outrage as him fighting dogs. That just makes me so uncomfortable.
July 17th, 2012 at 10:41 AM
As did I… it sucked, especially being a huge falcons fan as well. It’s a huge dog-loving town, too.
.
I doubt that one, but the media would make it hard to argue against it.
July 17th, 2012 at 10:44 AM
killing an innocent bystander and continued acts of cruelty against animals are two very different things.
i see your rationale, and i agree with you that ultimately a human life is more important. but the situation was emotional for obvious reasons for many people who made their opinions known on the airwaves.

This to me is a retarded argument because if he did kill someone like that, he would still be in jail.
July 17th, 2012 at 10:45 AM
lets see…one fewer club-going douchebag vs. MAN’S BEST FRIEND.
seems pretty cut and dry. both shit and piss on the floor, both are functionally retarded, both drool and hump anything that moves…but i don’t see any club kids wagging their tails brightening my day after a long day of work.
also…if there were club kids doing that, id be freaked the fuck out. CASTLE LAWS BITCH.

My puppy unified the belts in her weight class at the local dog park and I did’t even need to drown her or feed her gunpowder.
July 17th, 2012 at 10:49 AM
Sure. But on court of public opinion, dog fighting>astray bullet finding an innocent bystander
July 17th, 2012 at 10:51 AM
your puppy wears sockies
July 17th, 2012 at 10:51 AM
you’re still talking about two events that aren’t even close to being comparable.
July 17th, 2012 at 10:51 AM
nobody gives a shit about the junior middle flyweight class, dog arum.
July 17th, 2012 at 10:53 AM
Ray Lewis was involved in the murder of a man and is still one of the face’s of the league, and one that the league uses in its outreach ministries. That’s the example you need right there, Kaiser.
FIX YOUR FUCKING SITE MANG
July 17th, 2012 at 10:54 AM
lets see, lets see…drowning, torture, abuses, horrible living conditions under a cloak of secrecy…seems to me that vick got hammered for his offense. i mean, shit, CIA’s been doing that TO PEOPLE for like a decade straight now and i don’t think any of them have served time.
July 17th, 2012 at 10:54 AM
There’s two giant Russian dogs but all they ever do is stand around and fight chumps, it’s bullshit.
July 17th, 2012 at 10:54 AM
Animals are more vulnerable than people, which is why people can get so upset at their abuse. Same reason people tend to get more upset hearing about little kids getting raped in the school’s shower than an adult getting killed by a drunk driver.
July 17th, 2012 at 10:55 AM
Okay. But to me, continued acts of cruelty against people>continued acts of cruelty against animals.
I wouldn’t be shocked if the people who thinks Vick should be burned at the stake also don’t show the same level of outrage when Saddam gassed entire village.
Full Disclosure: I don’t own a pet, and never will. Having non-human entity pooping and shedding hair all over where I live is too disgusting in my opinion.
July 17th, 2012 at 10:55 AM
a) phenomenal…laughed my ass off.
b) everyone’s a chump compared to these giant russian dogs.
July 17th, 2012 at 10:56 AM
Pretty sure people would be very upset with an NFL player who kidnapped people and tortured and killed them.
/4TH MOTHER FUCKING TRY
July 17th, 2012 at 10:57 AM
well…to be fair, the media covered vick’s shit WAY more than they covered saddam’s chem strike.

July 17th, 2012 at 10:59 AM
exactly, and any stable person would find that to be true when they really think about it.

One time when I was walking my girlfriend’s corgi it went after a rottweiler, unprovoked. Little guy has heart, jumps weight classes like Roy Jones Junior.

July 17th, 2012 at 1:31 PM
Exactly Mole, hey let’s have a post where we make fun of the today show for mistakenly showing video of the wrong black guy wearing a helmet because das raycess. Oh wait, we also fucked up and got the guy’s name wrong.

Until a few days ago, I was fearing that’s exactly what would happen.
I do like the subliminal plug for Mizzou you managed to get in there, though.
