Bill Walton Will Announce Pac-12 Games for ESPN Next Season
Bill Walton will heroically return to the broadcast booth for ESPN and ABC where the Hall of Famer will serve as color analyst for Pac-12 basketball games. The big fellow will also do occasional local broadcasts for the Sacramento Kings, with the formal announcement to come Monday.
For those who enjoy Walton’s witty, often ridiculous banter, this is a tremendous piece of news. Personally, I’ve been sold on Bill Walton doing games for ages. The seminal moment came roughly 10 or 11 years ago when Spurs center David Robinson stepped up to the free throw line. Walton, in reference to the Admiral’s impressive physique, said “just look at this man, he’s an Adonis!” That about sums up the experience.
Welcome back, Bill.

Awesome news!!
Favorite Walton moment was a 2001 grizzlies regular season game (as if there are any other kind at that time). Stromile Swift was alone on the break versus four defenders and Bill Walton, as if he knew what a fucking dumbass Stromile was, starts screaming, ” NOOOOO STROMILE NOOO” seconds before Stromile tries to dunk on four guys from the freethrow line, only to be summarily dismissed by gravity, superior players, and basic math (the three things stromile could never defeat despite his best attempts).

This is one of those “spot the difference” games with the first two comments, and I can’t fucking find it.
End of the 6th line tells me there has to be a difference there somewhere, I give up though.
