Samantha Steele to Replace Erin Andrews as Host of Gameday on ESPNU; Heather Cox New Saturday Night Sideline Reporter
Samantha Steele, a rising star at ESPN, has been tabbed as the replacement for Erin Andrews as co-host of ESPNU’s 9 am College Football Gameday Show on Saturdays this fall, sources tell The Big Lead. In addition, Steele will be featured on Gameday on ESPN at 10 am in the same capacity Andrews was.
Additionally, ESPN has selected Heather Cox as the replacement for Andrews on ABC’s Saturday night College Football game of the week. She’ll be paired with the network’s top announcing pair of Brent Musburger and Kirk Herbstreit.
Both decisions were made this morning and are expected to be announced next week.

No, actually quite busy. My contributions are lower in general, not just the afternoons. I like reading about baseball during this time of year. There’s not much here that touches on the sport. Baseball America, Prospectus and some others are simply more informative and interesting right now. They are raising more productive topics of debate. Twitter too. Lisk’s post was good today, I enjoyed it. I’m sure I’ll have a higher activity level during football season, when this website churns out its best content.
