Kyrie Irving Absolutely Dominated USA Basketball Practice
Kyrie Irving, also known as Uncle Drew, might have the best handle in the NBA. You’ve seen him drop 17 points in the 4th quarter to win a game; carve up the Celtics in the final seconds and win the NBA rookie of the year award. Irving turned 20 in March, and already is one of the NBA’s best point guards. After CP3, Deron, Rondo, Tony Parker and Russell Westbrook, is Irving already No. 6?
Irving made an appearance at the USA Basketball practice over the weekend and destroyed ankles as well as put everybody on spin cycle. Enjoy these 12 seconds and keep this in mind – Irving should be a lock to start a point guard on the next Olympic team.
Perhaps Irving will do something LeBron couldn’t – attract free agents to Cleveland. Andrew Bynum apparently has the Cavs on his list.

Man imagine if he weren’t playing in K’s system.
July 9th, 2012 at 12:53 PM
Derrick Rose is pretty good I hear.
July 9th, 2012 at 12:54 PM
Kyrie will likely be too old to play in next Olympics…….
July 9th, 2012 at 12:54 PM
w00t!
July 9th, 2012 at 12:54 PM
Just curious, why don’t they spend the money on putting the international key and 3pt lines on the floor? It is slightly shorter for 3pts right?
July 9th, 2012 at 12:56 PM
Nevermind, second look appears to have them in white
July 9th, 2012 at 12:59 PM
Derek Rose #7?
July 9th, 2012 at 1:01 PM
I’m catching up with Breaking Bad, I’ve got three episodes left in season four. Bill Burr’s character is fucking hilarious.
/watching at work
July 9th, 2012 at 1:02 PM
Derrick Rose is pretty good I hear.
..and this is why McTibble.com is on the decline. “Forgets” to put MVP Rose into the Top 5 point guards as he rushes to shoot his journalistic diarrhea onto wall. Doesn’t stick too well apparently.

/Women’s gynastics’d
If it turns out Kyrie isn’t made of glass, we might just have another superstar in Cleveland for the next 6 years. Until he decides to take his talents somewhere else as he enters his prime.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:04 PM
Wow, those dribbles were just insane.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:05 PM
RIP Derrick Rose.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:06 PM
Just went on a Breaking Bad binge the past two weeks. Finished season three. Can’t pull the trigger to fork over $30 for season four.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:06 PM
I get buckets
July 9th, 2012 at 1:07 PM
Torrents, yo. Two episodes left!
Skylar couldn’t get any fatter if she tried. Revolting.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:09 PM
After Skylar and Walter had the make-up sehks, she was bending down to pick something up off the floor. She couldn’t even bend all the way down. Hopefully the producers had a tactful but effective talk with her after last season’s finale.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:10 PM
In transition of moving. No house or Internet yet. Thinking of going apple tv/Netflix route instead of cable
July 9th, 2012 at 1:11 PM
If you have finished episode 11, then this clip should crack you up.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:11 PM
Derrick Rose is pretty good I hear.

Amen. WTF, TBL? We’re you so enthusiastic about jotting down another useless ranking that you failed to mention the best PG in the league?
July 9th, 2012 at 1:11 PM
End of three was great. But, it’s hard to fathom Walt outsmarting the mastermind himself.

Wouldn’t get Apple Tv, I have an old laptop setup to a TV with wireless keyboad and mouse. Using Chrome and it automatically updates, you would not want to buy hardware that does not have flash to use internet on your tv.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:14 PM
Dude, I need your job. You post here all day. Past comments indicate drug use while at work. Now this.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:16 PM
The trade off is horrific pay. Not worth it.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:16 PM
Everybody relax on the Rose omission. This isn’t the end of times.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:16 PM
Andrew Bynum apparently has the Cavs on his list.
Sadly, the Cavs are #29 on the list.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:19 PM
Sonofabitch, it’s catching on. I couldn’t be prouder of myself.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:19 PM
Hmm. I wouldn’t be using tv for Internet like my laptop, but u guess I need to do more research to find out exactly what it’ll give me. Want to watch sports. Would enjoy Netflix. Don’t want to pay and willing to give up the channel selection
July 9th, 2012 at 1:19 PM
His knee just exploded over a month ago. Who knows if he even comes back the same player as before?
July 9th, 2012 at 1:20 PM
Anyone know why? I saw this, and figured he was from OH. Nope. Is he friends with Kyrie? That would be a really nice pairing.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:20 PM
Sunday night. Sunday night. Sunday night …
/ Hope Mike the Cleaner is back this season

Breaking Bad @ LetMeWatchThis:
http://www.1channel.ch/watch-4128-Breaking-Bad
Also, they have all kinds of other shows/movies/etc. I recommend shows hosted at putlocker or sockshare. Those seem to be the best and the ones that stay up the longest before getting shut down.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:22 PM
i wanted to do this, but haven’t found a streaming service with new tv shows in price ranges i want to pay to watch them yet.
opted for directv instead of cable
July 9th, 2012 at 1:23 PM
The intern at SLAM magazine hijacked this post.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:23 PM
Anyone know why?
Cavs have cap room and Kyrie. But seriously, kudos for his agent on even floating this rumor out there. Next year’s UFA crop is even worse than this year’s. WOOF.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:23 PM
Someone tweeted out that the Select guys were getting smothered by Team USA. I’m not reading much into a 12 second highlight clip, when the other 47:48 might just be him running straight into LeBron and turning the ball over.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:24 PM
I just voluntarily left a job with no expectations and a solid 40 hour work week to take a 4.9% raise, work 20% more hours, and have exponential expectations. you keep fucking that chicken, mole.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:24 PM
@Peerless
If you don’t want to pay for subscriptions you are going to need firefox or chrome browser to watch live sports.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:25 PM
I love direct, but I’m most likely only going to be at the new residence for a year. 2 year contract is great if I’m there longer.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:27 PM
They will move service free/cheap I guess, but fuck contracts.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:27 PM
I will second 1channel.ca with putlocker and sockshare. Vipbox, firstrow atdhe, ilemi for live sports. Justin.tv will randomly have new movies and TV show marathons. Vipbox also has a ton of live channels streaming.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:27 PM
I think Coach Mac would agree that everyone is poiting out the wrong MVP-level omission:

Oof. Also, reading those comments make me miss Jay V. and Dirt.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:30 PM
I love DirecTV. So worth the contract. And fuck you Time Warner.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:30 PM
yeah, that sucks.
between Netflix and Amazon Instant Video i’ve got access to free shows and movies and can pay for the new ones if i want to. it’s worth looking into since you get good video quality on both.
however, i think i mentioned it before, i personally have a hard time paying the costs to “buy’ a season of TV when i know i’ll only watch it once. that’s just me, though, and i haven’t found a good place for streaming sports events.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:30 PM
fucking comcast…so I just moved from FL to TN 3 weeks ago. I called to cancel cable (tv and inet) the day we leave. we haven’t sold the house yet so we haven’t done a full move out even though we’re living 600 miles away now. comcast tells me to return their dvr and modem whenever we’re back in town to officially move out…there’s no rush in getting the equipment back to them. I receive a bill for $600+ for unreturned equipment last week and two text messages and emails this past weekend. I call and ask what’s up and the lady tells me not to worry about it; it’s just scare tactics by comcast to scare us into returning their equipment, there’s still no hurry. assholes.

Yea buying seasons is exciting but I know it’s such a wasted cost. It’s something I’m good at though.
/looks at $100 bill
//goes to put in savings.
///buys shoes and ice cream instead.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:33 PM
What happened to Jay?
He hardly comments anymore.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:33 PM
whoa there…I’m an engineer. let’s not be name-calling now. seriously though, I love my new job so much more. the more hours is because it’s private sector whereas I was fed govt previously. as Ray Stantz aptly said, “I’ve worked in the private sector… they expect results!”
July 9th, 2012 at 1:33 PM
Where’d Jay go?
July 9th, 2012 at 1:34 PM
that happened to me with Comcast as well.
i won in the end though since our last residence was under my name and our new house is under my wife’s name so we got the new customer discounts for internet.
/small win
July 9th, 2012 at 1:35 PM
Miz, same thing happened to me with Charter after graduating college. Lie to you then scare you with a ginormous bill.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:36 PM
I’m intermittently around, myself. McTibble started going full-out trolling against baseball and I just found myself getting legitimately angry, and I felt like a fucking idiot for voluntarily subjecting myself to it.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:37 PM
whoa there…I’m an engineer. let’s not be name-calling now.
Whoa. Sorry about that.
I was just giving you shit. Ten years ago I worked as a data entry/logistics and was paid well and hated every minute of that job. I took a pay cut to get away from it.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:37 PM
peerless – where are you moving from/to?
July 9th, 2012 at 1:38 PM
I’m intermittently around, myself. McTibble started going full-out trolling against baseball and I just found myself getting legitimately angry, and I felt like a fucking idiot for voluntarily subjecting myself to it. WWOS
Yeah, CJ and I were talking about that in a prior post. Something changed with the kid after USA Today took over.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:38 PM
data entry is the worst. i did it on a sales team and made commission, but it sucked so much i gladly took an overall paycut but bump in base salary to get out of it.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:39 PM
His knee just exploded over a month ago. Who knows if he even comes back the same player as before?
Ahh…Kazzy. Is this why McTibble left him off the list? If so, that’s usually good for a few shaky footnotes from our esteemed EIC on his, err, thinking.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:42 PM
it’s pretty bad, i can’t remember the last time he actually traded comments in good nature with someone about an article he wrote about the JEts (for example).
July 9th, 2012 at 1:42 PM
It’s been changing ever since he sold to FSV.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:45 PM
I’m turned off by the power trips as much as anything. I’m very much against abusive language and personal attacks in the comments, but to have a vendetta against someone and then wait around for an innocuous comment at a peak hour so everyone can see you ban the person, just seems a bit transparent. It doesn’t serve to protect the integrity of the site, which as Jason no longer owns, but rather is an employee of, should be the purpose of banning.
July 9th, 2012 at 1:46 PM
Miz, work north of Nashville, thought I landed job in Murfreesboro but that didn’t happen. Most likely same area, different place. I’ll know in a few weeks
July 9th, 2012 at 1:47 PM
i remember when i could view this site w/o using adblocker. opened it using chrome over the weekend w/o adblocker and it was horrific.

all i will say is i can’t wait to rewatch season 4 this week.

July 9th, 2012 at 2:06 PM
lots of golf fans here too and yet we don’t even get a post during one of the only four tournamnets non-golf fans care about.

July 9th, 2012 at 3:48 PM
lots of golf fans here too and yet we don’t even get a post during one of the only four tournamnets non-golf fans care about.
a) I worked US Open weekend and wrote at least 4 posts from Friday to Sunday on golf;
b) We are rotating weekends when we take heavier shifts and I am off this weekend and covering the British Open weekend both days.
Now, I don’t have time to watch as much as you do and I don’t watch every tournament, but I’ll put up some golf posts during the British too, even though they will only do traffic if something really crazy happens.

Put up one post WED afternoon before each major and the Ryder Cup so people can put up their predictions.
